People are blaming Kramnik, and even GMs like Nihal are criticizing him. What do you all think?

<Where were all the famous chess figures when Kramnik was out of line against Danya?>

They were on the same list of defendants.
Where was Magnus, Caruana, GothamChess, Kasparov, Alireza, Wesley So and the rest great American Gms?
Where they all accused by Kramnik? Please share relevant links. But even if they were, it would be irrelevant.
Why did Nepo retweeted Kramnik's posts?
Imagine if the whole chess world had started putting Kramnik in his place immediately after his first unfair strike.
Danya would probably still be with us now. Don't you get it?

Kramnik started a good cause, but took a wrong turn, and ended up breaking the rules himself.
I don't know whether Ian still supports Kramnik's methods. I only know that Hikaru called him a brainless person when Kramnik included him in his list.
The chess world isn't perfect either. Otherwise, I would have definitely included it. In fact, there wouldn't be any cheaters then.
Kramnik's case is a precedent.
No other chess figure has ever fought against cheating (in Kramnik's case, it should be put in quotation marks; he fought against common sense) on such a scale.
Rules are often written in blood.
Now, at least mentally, everyone will be prepared for such events.

The accusations by Kramnik against Naroditsky are so transparant that I don't believe those were made in good faith to begin with. The only reason for those accusations, that make sense to me, is to create a story that explains why Russia, and Kramnik personally, have declined in chess without addressing the decline directly. I don't think this was about chess at all, but about vaingloriously playing the victim in service of empty optics. To use the title of World Champion like that is just as disrespectful as any cheater. I don't consider Kramnik a champion of anything. He showed ability on the board, and he can keep his formal title for all I care, but he's not someone worth remembering.

Naroditsky was a champion of the game by introducing and instructing thousands of players to the game, myself included. His ability to explain master level ideas to bad players like me was like no other content creator. A lot of people are able to enjoy chess at a deeper level thanks to Danya, and I think there's no bigger contribution someone can bring to the game. He will be fondly remembered, and sorely missed.

Exactly! I recall one instance where Danya was streaming for his speed run. He made those speed run videos with the best of intentions, so that people can learn from them. During the game, the opening was done... they were far into the middle game, someone asked a question about the opening, and in an effort to answer the question he consulted an opening book. And what does Kramnik do? Exactly... use that to claim that Danya was cheating in his stream.

Now technically, you are not allowed to look at any opening book during the game. But come on! Why would Danya cheat in this particular way? Kramnik must have known that makes no sense. Which means he made a conscious decision to slander.

GothamChess and Caruana were vocal against Kramnik, it wasn't only Hikaru. It's true that many were quiet when they should've spoken up but give credit where it's due.

I think speculating on what happened is bad, and about the only thing we know for sure is that we don't know.

Great advice I received in the past: "Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear".

Guys just see fxtwitter.com/VBkramnik/status/1980868149810811343

It's really disturbing how Kramnik insists on denying his own role in this.
