"we do not let killers roam free"
"barely better than a cold blooded killer"
I think the hyperbole is unnecessary and possibly even dangerous.
Maybe I would feel bad for him if he actually accepted blame/responsibility after the person who he tormented and harassed for over a year died instead of blaming other folks in the chess community, his close people, and drugs
Like is he seriously playing the victim here? An apology would probably make the entire community much less critical of Kramnik but honestly with how he's going about it even if he didn't intend for this to happen he definitely does not care if it did... he doesn't care about the consequences of his actions

All right, let's put it another way. Any musings about blame, responsibility and apologies are matters of opinion.
To call somebody a killer is in a different league. I really think you should rethink your behaviour online.

To add to that point, I would note that while you seem aware of the potential for cheating allegations to disturb minds, the history of repeated violent language leading to actual killings seems to have passed you by.

What do you mean by repeated violent language leading to actual killings? I am not saying someone should literally go and harm Kramnik, of course... I am asking that he face some form of consequences for his actions such as a ban from FIDE
I don't what you are talking about, and I doubt that Kramnik gives an F about what I say here on these forums
It's high time that he faces consequences for what he has done, because he basically contributed to the toll on Danya's health which led to this outcome greatly, and so far the only consequences he has suffered (btw i might add he showed no remorse, hence the cold blood part) is hate from the community and fandom, not an actual punishment from any authority or governing body... when people forget about this he will go right back to his old ways.... it's really rather unfortunate

You didn't say that somebody should kill Kramnik, or that you wanted them to - did I say that?
Of course you don't know what I'm talking about. That is obvious.
All right, if we really must go into what ought to be obvious: Various vicious comments have been made about people in places as diverse at Germany and Rwanda. When people do this, then other people get it into their heads to become violent, even to the point of killing. Why do you think that in countries such as the UK and the USA, 'hate speech' is considered to be so dangerous?

Yeah I get what you mean but I don't see how it applies in this specific context
Are you saying Kramnik will become so livid after getting this hate that he will actually commit a crime?
Idk, but either way my point stands... FIDE needs to take action, Kramnik needs to be punished adequately

You have twice referred to Kramnik as a killer or something very close to it. Your comment about Kramnik getting livid is of course getting the wrong end of the stick. The concern is that other chess 'fans' (fan was originally short for fanatic, btw) will get so pumped up that they may act violently to Kramnik or maybe the authorities. This sort of thing happens quite a lot - just read or listen to the news sometimes.

Remember Trump telling his fans to march on the Capitol to continue the fight. Those words led to deaths.

Fine I deleted the one about letting them roam free and stuff
Point still stands, he deserves to be punished harshly and it's been some time and i'm pretty sure he's still chilling right now, despite this petition with 40k votes or whatever (tho admittedly impressive, i signed that when it was like under 20k not too long ago), so yeah it's pretty disappointing

"deserves to be punished harshly"
says the judge?
"sure he's chilling"
says the fly on the wall?
