Can't create game with specific side any more

I almost exclusively play correspondence. By trial an error I've found 4 games at the same time, 2 days per move is my cup of tea.

I like to play 2 games with each colour; it just makes sense to me, and also sort of helps to mentally keep track of the games I'm playing. So whenever I finish a game in which I was playing white I start a new game playing white again, and vice versa.

So on the one hand I understand lichess decision, but on the other hand I hate my correspondence games to lose their feng Shui.

BTW, would it be that hard for lichess to check say the hundred last games of a player to check whether she/he is cheating the system in order to activate the "choose colour" option?

I tried to provide an intuitive explanation in my earlier post #118.

Poco a poco vamos a dictaturas. Que bien! Lichess ajuda este movimiento. Gracias!!! Nadie tiene el derecho decidir jugar con blancas o negras! Liberdad para nadie! Una pregunta: Cuando uno quiere empenziar por exemplo con blancas, tengo que jugar con el? Creo que no! Eso es liberdad!!!

Why all you call this button "random side", it isn't after some amount of one side propose and do not accepting other side this button propose you only side you do not want to play than it is correct to call this button "you do not want side" or something like this :)

But personally I think it is good idea to disable side buttons for any type of games, because now I have time for other things rather than playing chess that seem I was addicted to :)

Everyone saw on the playdesk, that the player wanted for example white. Noone was forced to play with him! Where is the problem! The problem are those people who want to decide, what I have to do, those people who cant accept personal freedom!

Not true. You are forcing fair players to play at a disadvantage at all your games. I am glad they fixed this and made sure people obey and play with both sides as they are obligated to

No choice then no play

3891 games of which 3690 with white. You are the entire reason this change is needed. It is a great thing this type of behavior is finally controlled

I support this change. Choosing to play as either colour should not mean that you have to play as black more often just because someone else always wants to play as white.

And choosing your colour should not be allowed in rated games ever, and in my opinion not even by invitation.

In casual games it could be allowed, but if you want to play as white, then your opponent should have the option to refuse (like with a takeback): more choice is only good if it is for everyone. So this change, even if not perfect, is still better than how it was before.
