I think personally as well, I also blame Emil (FIDE CEO) for his actions and didnt take his actions so seriously with Danya earlier.
I'm still in shock that we've lost one of the most loved chess players on earth.
Rest in peace Danya. You will always be remembered.

As for the inappropriate comparison, no it isn't. It is exactly the same thing. If you ask me, I believe it's quite possible that Hans has cheated in many occasions. However, I do not have any proof, nor does Magnus. As simple as that.
I still cannot fathom how people compare the Magnus situation to what Kramnik s doing. The fact that you are claiming they did the exact same thing is preposterous.
Magnus never accused Niemann or said anything before the case was settled. Hans was a verified cheater and in my opinion anyone has a right to feel uncomfortable playing against him. Imagine you and me play and you know that I have other accounts banned wouldnt the slighest thoughts cross your mind if I outplayed?
To be noted I do not approve of what magnus did and for sure there was room for improvement but comparing that to the dozens of hours of Kramnik analysing Daniel's not just games but eye movement and the words he used and the tone he spoke on his youtube channel. The podcasts and interviews Kramnik did about Daniel and others. If you have any sympathy for Hans you have to realise that what Hans went through was mild compared to Naroditsky who couldnt play chess off stream without people slandering him for over a year. I am sick of people saying there is no difference between the situations or that somehow one justifies the other. We as a society still struggle to balance the rights of freedom of expression on public faces as the consequences and the reach is on an a scale we cannot comprehend. This is not the same as me and you fighting on a platform here we are talking about thousands of people all led and provoked by Kramnik for one purpose alone against one human. This is not a moral debate this is real life with consequences.

Kramnik is right that the chess world is super fake. This idea that you can drive someone to suicide by suspecting them of cheating is ridiculous. Naroditsky himself at some point said that cheating accusations shouldn't be taken personally if someone is accused. And Carlsen accusing Niemann was much bigger case than Kramnik accusing anybody. Carlsen has 1000x times more credibility in popular world. But if Niemann killed himself because of it I wouldn't blame Carlsen either.
Get realistic, I am supposed to believe that Kramnik who has 20000 subscribers on YouTube and Twitter is bullying Nakamura, GothamChess, Naroditsky that have millions of fans. Most people don't even watch his side of the story. And also, yes, a lot of chess "content creators" are Chess.com partners and it does affect their coverage of "chess drama". It's not chess mafia it's a reality.
What is public record is that Naroditsky was overworking, he was chronically online, playing/streaming/commentating non-stop. That took a toll on him.
If you ask me especially since we have not a definitive cause of death the fact that Danya died has nothing to do with the Kramnik issue it doesnt make it more or less important. Danya's last stream is enough leaving his death aside to see what consequences Kramnik's actions bare. The fact that as you said he was an online person just amplified that. They took away his life he couldnt play while not streaming he couldnt commentate without gettings attacked he couldnt even apparently make a damn speedrun episode without being slandered and you somehow try to make it seem like this is no biggie??? If you had any sympathy for Hans (which you should) you also should show more about Daniel's case. The toll this whole situation took on him is clear you can see it in his podcasts whith mustreader with c-squared with Dina and many more.
One last comment though I covered the magnus issue on another answer you have to recognise that Magnus Hans is completely different. Magnus publicly showed his discomfort of playing a verified cheater he claimed that Hans is a cheater (which he himself admitted) and that he has cheated more than he claimed (which is also true and Hans admitted). But the fact that these were true allowed the whole situation to move forward and gave Hans the chance to prove himself which (good for him) he did. But to what Kramnik does there is no moving forward from. He has tens of hours of videos analysing people's way of talking to where their eyes are looking when playing and constantly playing the big brother orwellian policing on people he just dislikes. And he also reinforces others to do the same as I made a point above about danyas online life and how it was affected. Leaving aside the fact that danya didnt do anything remotely suspicious nevermind confirmed as to cheating.
If you still do not see the big issue here and you choose to focus on people relating this directly to his death or to suicide or Magnus or anything then that's on you and not the people you are responding to.

Vladimir kramnik is a murderer in my eyes now. Please remove him off this chess world. He is a sin to humanity. If not stopped then we would see more cases like this :'(( I think fide is saving kramnik

@CyberShredder this is the worst mentality you could have. You don't know the effects of regular accusations. You'll get to know when you'll face it yourself.

Of course, Magnus's influence is great. I don't know if it was so great that Chess.com banned not just a titled chess player, but an entire grandmaster.
I don't remember the exact sequence, but even if Chess.com banned Niemann after Magnus's accusations, it still happened within a short period of time.
They're right to point out that this is the key difference. After all, Daniel wasn't banned from the world's largest chess platform either before or after the accusations.

It is extremely insensitive for us to speculate on his cause of death or discuss him like this. The guy was 29, it is tragic. Give his family and those on here who knew him and loved him to grieve without us making sensationalist news about his death.
Kramnik was out of line for what he said, regardless of the circumstances of Danya's early and tragic death.

#1 ) yes, accusing someone of cheating merely because you can't believe they beat you fair and square is wrong and it has to stop. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Such acusations need to be backed up by solid evidence.
#2 ) "Cancelling" kramnk won't bring Daniel back. All the hate and toxicity being directed at him now is not unlike the toxicity that got Daniel into a poor mental space. In Daniel's honor, we should strive to be and do bettert. Rather than focusing on a single individual , his death should spark a wider discussion about the terrible harm that is done when a player baselessly accuses a fellow player of cheating without solid evidence, merely because their ego can't take the fact that they lost. There have been several high profile cases, Kramik-Naroditsky was just one of them. Let's not have these illicit double standards where we hate on one GM and yet defend another GM when both GMs have engaged in accusing a fellow player of cheating with little to no evidence. This toxic practice has to stop, and it should not have taken the death of a GM to realize this but we are where we are.
