As an addition: The video of Daniil Dubov and Tkachev which I linked earlier had a comment by an electronics expert who said that in light of today's miniaturization he wonders why professional chess players are not more alerted by possible cheating. He said if he was a GM he would be deeply worried.
And this was 7 years ago.

Y'all are proving my original point by being unable to answer the title's question :D I hope you know that.

I hope you know that your original question is stupid. Because it is not answerable as long as Niemann is not caught red-handed and certainly not for past events.
If you wanted to ask if cheating devices are possible that can't be easily detected then yes. Ask any electronics expert.
And for all the "RF scanners detect everything" apologists: You realize that you can switch off a device before you enter the playing hall and switch it on later, don't you?

The original website is down but the snapshot is of February 2022, well before the Niemann saga.

I have cheated over 200 games here and I'm a ban on sight user because of it.
Congrats. You have funny standards by which you pick the people you support.

Can you prove that what he/she said is true?

Is this a question out of desperation or what?

@Katzenschinken
Maybe that was just said to get a point across. The statement does not necessarily have to be true. How am I supposed to know if it's true? and how do you know that? And to say, "Is this a question out of desperation or what?" is not proof, just a distraction!

Of course there is the possibility he lied in order to support Niemann and make the point that in the end cheating is not so bad. I can't think of any circumstances (except extreme stupidity maybe) that someone could do that but what do I know?
