Regarding your overall question, there are so many atrocities globally which Lichess has not commented on. The only public statement on a conflict Lichess has made (as far as I recall) was on the Russia Ukraine war - which was written in response to official actions and statements from FIDE and the IOC that pertained directly to chess.

Lichess has held 2 fundraisers to raise funds for aid in the region since the outset.

There are many things wrong with your response, even though you believe it was as neutral as possible. If you read the statement on the invasion of Ukraine, you'll realize that the position isn't rooted in a decision about chess institutions, it's just an excuse, you justified the statement by the seriousness of what was happening. And even if it were, it would be a hypocritical decision, because you know full well that many people aren't taking a position on this issue (FIDE itself) because Israel has the support of the United States, which remains the world's leading military hegemon. If what Israel is doing had been done by another country without the support of the United States, FIDE would have condemned it long ago.

You have people laughing, justifying and defending genocide in several forum threads, and you haven't taken a single action. Doesn't that break your codes of etiquette, but my thread does? Can you notify @Thibault so he can review this? I can't believe this absurdity is happening on Lichess, and on top of that, a moderator dares to reason about it.

Nazi flag was official flag of nazi flag of germany but the whole state was hijacked by the party so quite different.
Facist flag was notofficial flag of italy. So italian flag at the time would have just told that persion is from kindom of italy.
Spanish flag under Franco was slightly different from second republic but did resemle falangist party flag

While russian and israel flags have been the same for quite while not symbols on some Junta having captured the state.
