No, they ban people for opening a new thread after the old one got closed. Like any other forum in the world.
These are separate topics. In the first one, I asked for an explanation about their lack of position on the genocide, and in this one, I ask why they closed the thread instead of responding to the other one. We're in the Lichess Feedback subforum. If I can't ask Lichess these questions here, where can I do so?

Yes, the difference in criteria in the treatment of the two cases is incomprehensible.
