This happens to all threads with more than 50 replies.
As I mentioned earlier, Lichess doesn't like threads that lead to nothing good, and since the majority of threads with more than 50 replies tend to fall into this category, Lichess lets them die by automatically disabling the ability to re-up them.
The Lichess forums weren't built with heated political debate in mind.
Thanks for the explanation.
I realize this topic is uncomfortable. It must be deeply embarrassing to feel like a supporter of a genocide, but that's not my fault and we're not going to stop talking about what's happening because of your conscience. If you don't like people talking about the genocide in Gaza, the best thing you can do is stay quiet. All these comments trying to silence us, or worse, denying, justifying or defending the genocide, only make you look worse. Were you also trying to keep the invasion of Ukraine out of the spotlight?

I've said it several times, I had no intention of debating this issue and I don't think there's anything to debate here, but I will not remain silent in the face of those who try to defend this massacre. I just want an explanation from the Lichess administration, which subforum is appropriate for raising issues with the Lichess administration? It ́s simple: why is a genocidal state allowed to continue to be represented on Lichess? why haven't they issued a statement condemning the genocide in Gaza?

hot take: because their mindset is not as inflammatory as yours.
I don't exactly support what Israel is doing in Gaza, but I even less support your outcries, your passive-aggressive rudeness and the suspected stereotypes between the lines. Do you even acknowledge Israel's right to exist? (at least in its initial 1948 territory?)
By the way, a few Arab states have called for the end of Hamas tyranny for the first time. Hamas needs to go first, then we can talk further

Cedur216's list of concerns, in order:
- Someone put him in his place on the Lichess forum
...

- Genocide
If you've been trying to provoke me with all the messages you've posted (when you knew very well that I have no interest in debating with you or in what you have to say) and I haven't even insulted you, what are you telling me about my tone? You've got enough punishment by having to spend all day on the forum wasting time replying all the threads.

There are always two sides of a conflict: nazis and jews, for example, and that doesn't give the right to push everyone else onto your beliefs, is that how it works?
If you think this is just a platform for playing chess, it's easy for you, just keep playing and stop coming here. You won't stop trying to deny the genocide that's happening because you know what it makes you.
I highk don't even know what you're saying, this is liCHESS not lipolitics. Unfortunately, the example you used, said people tried very hard to push their agenda onto others, despite it being wrong. In the case of this conflict, I myself feel as though I can't really take a side, I don't know enough. I am not saying you are INCORRECT in your statements, but rather that there are better ways to express it. Lichess is a friendly, free for all CHESS website, and the fact they closed your previous thread is simply so that it remains a healthy, happy community. This is a place where people of all nationalities alike can play, relax, and just remove themselves sometimes from the outside world. You could be right for all I know, but I just feel that there are better places to express your opinions. Sometimes, yes, we do need strong opinions to push us to action, but pushing a bunch of chess players won't entirely help your case. The lichess mods cannot end a multinational and multiethnic conflict. I recommend using a different platform! Perhaps twitter. You might find more support there, and maybe you can make a difference. Here, however, you are just inflaming yourself, and using extreme language towards people who can't really do anything anyway. Keep Lichess a respectful community. It's good to share opinions, but you should be willing to hear criticisms. There will always be someone who won't agree with you, just take it in stride. You don't need to bombard them with articles, extreme examples, and historical events. Stay safe everyone!

no.
lichess forum 'off-topic' is full of politics.
round the clock
also the rest is way off the point of having a flyer for gaza just like the one for ukraine[º]. e.g.
The lichess mods cannot end a multinational and multiethnic conflict.
no one ever said that.
what got you this idea??
. . . [general behavior] . . . [what lichess is for you] . . .
pure aayan-POV.
off-topic so to say, regarding title post.
[º] - ( and i wish to add, to remember that russian flag is banned in many relevant places )

The problem for them isn't that this is a political issue; the problem is that it's an uncomfortable topic because it embarrasses them. Isn't it easier to raise awareness and take the side of the victim than to deny the evidence of what's happening?
@lichess @Thibault @cormacobear In the face of genocide, remaining silent is also a political stance. Specifically, one of support for the aggressor.
Lichess is no longer a free, friendly platform for everyone. It's no longer a platform for the two million people of Gaza (not to mention the hundreds of thousands who have already been killed). How sad and how disappointing.
