I really hope this is some kind of wierd joke ..
I spend multiple hours a day doing themed puzzles on Lichess and trying to boost my rating.. now my rating is gone and I don't get points, first I thought it was a bug, now turns out my account has been 'cleaned' ... Are you kidding me ?
What is this ?!?!!?
Really really really appalled ...

Two questions:
- What is considered "cheating at puzzles"?
- How was it determined that players allegedly "spend a lot of time cheating at puzzles"?

on another thread regarding this same problem, someone mentioned they took a peek at github and determined that one trigger may be the differential between your puzzle rating and you game ratings. I think I can believe that as I did not cross the 2500 puzzle rating until just yesterday and now I have a ? for my rating. My blitz is just under 1800, but it has been steadily increasing. However, my puzzle rating has far outpaced my game ratings because I'm deriving much more pleasure from doing puzzles and that "ah ha" I solved it feeling.

here's a brief overview of why my puzzles have skyrocketed...
"I'm now a "?" person. Apparently I am either a cheater or false positive and there's no way to appeal it? I've done north of 21k puzzles. Before we had puzzle storm on here, I'd sometimes speed through hundreds of puzzles in a day before playing games to try get better in time crunch situations.
A few months back, while frustrated at not progressing with my blitz and bullet ratings, I watched some videos on how to improve at chess. The overwhelming recommendation by many top players as to how to get better at chess is to play better chess, not speed chess. They recommend longer games with in depth analysis afterwards and tactics training.
Ok, so I decided to go head long into tactics and thus puzzles. I went super nerd and created a spreadsheet on October 29, 2020 that started at puzzle 19,986 for me. I tracked all sorts of data to try and see where I was deficient and needed to improve my study. This is all before the dashboard obviously.
Enter the new puzzle era, on December 29, 2020 I started a new sheet in my spreadsheet. I was so excited to finally have proper descriptions of each puzzle, I track the length, phase, goals, motifs, advanced, mates, special and origin. I track my old rating, new rating, the puzzle rating after solving it or failing it, the rating difference between the puzzle difficulty, wins/losses, what move I lost on, whether I was white or black and the material count. All of this is to slow down my approach to puzzles.
It worked, my puzzle rating shot up above 2000, then I encountered resistance around the 2200 level. Back to more videos from the likes of GothamChess, chessbrah, eric rosen, etc. Another tip the recommended that I finally took to hear, no more than 15 to 25 puzzles a day, but really focus on them. Understand them. Rating stabilized, but still difficult to break 2250-2300 consistently. When I reached my maximum 25 puzzles for the day, I really enjoyed the replay option. I figured since I'd previously gotten those wrong, they didn't count toward my daily limit. I also tried to do them faster than normal in hopes it'd help in game situations.
Enter chesstactics.org and talk about a game changer. I started at the beginning and have worked my way through all the fork chapters, just finished the discovered attack chapters, about to move onto the pins/skewers chapters. Working through that site has changed my approach drastically, breaking down my personal decision tree and decision making process like you wouldn't believe. My rating started to climb steadily...
Then in a thirst for even more improvement, as I seemed to always get knocked back down to around 2250, I watched three videos from GM Daniel Naroditsky that helped me drastically improve again. He hammered in the "checks, captures and threats" mantra in me. Also how to follow through on even seemingly bad moves (I'm finding they often lead to the discovered attacks). Eye opening.
All this TLDR is to say, I'm super bummed. I've worked really hard to up my play and understanding of the game. Will I give up on it, nope, but I'll miss tracking my rating here on Lichess. At least I still have my spreadhseet. Oh well."

not just 3 videos, but GM Daniel Naroditsky's 3 video's on Master-Level puzzle solving, in addition to all the hours on chesstactics.org have made a huge difference. also, not rushing. not trying to do puzzles while making dinner with the gf, getting sleep, what a difference all those things make.

@Patrizsche dude, it took me like a month to raise my rating 300 points, on 12/24/20 you went from 2107 to 2545 on 12/25/20. How many puzzles did you get right that day to climb 438 rating points? Did you even get any wrong? Seriously impressive.
I think the most I've climbed in a day is like 150 and then I'll drop it all the next day. Yikes man.
