Chess puzzle rating reset error?

I almost do not play games online, because it turns out poorly. Mostly I solve puzzles, and sometimes play against the computer.
I reached a rating of 2800 in solving puzzles and fell into the category of punished cheaters.
And here's what I think.

Hypertrophied ratings in puzzles solving are the result of changes that appeared in January of this year,
namely: it became possible to solve puzzles on a given topic. For example, I like to solve puzzles on the topic
"Checkmate in three moves". And for solving such puzzles, rating points are awarded! I immediately thought it was strange.
After all, such puzzles are much easier to solve than from the topic "A little bit of everything" - there is a clearly formulated goal here.
Yes, there are few rating points awarded for these puzzles, but I can solve many tasks in one day.

Now I still do not solve the puzzles, I am afraid to confirm the earned reputation of a cheater))
After all, it is cheaters who must quickly restore their ratings?
And my high rating, even if not instantly restored, will again seem strange?

My suggestions for improving the puzzles rating system:

  1. The player's rating should be formed only based on the results of solving puzzles from the
"A little of everything"section. And on the "web" diagram, display the results of solving puzzles only from this section.
  2. For the convenience of players, you can additionally create training ratings for each
thematic section. These ratings should not affect the actual rating described in paragraph 1.
These training ratings are necessary for the player to have access to high-rated puzzles in the thematic
    sections.
  3. The time to solve the problem is not limited, so you need to enter the maximum rating level.
Perhaps, taking into account the ratings of the players from whose games the puzzles were taken.
  4. When forming the rating of puzzles, you can ignore the results of certain categories
of users - those whose rating seems suspicious.

I don't understand why people care if they are branded a cheater or not. You either did cheat or did not in the past. What other people gossip about you is irrelevant.

@PTX187 I agree. On chesstempo if you do puzzles by theme they're unrated.

I mostly agree that when you do puzzles based on a specific topic they should not count in your general puzzle rating. I recently discovered a topic with a name something like "Attacking f2 and f7." I did manage to get a couple wrong, but only when I decided that it had to more complicated than taking at f2 or f7. Nope, just take. But I do want to point out that some topics don't provide you with any head start in solving the puzzles, for example "Endgames."

@kamekura On chesstempo puzzles by theme are rated. I think you have a separate rating for each theme.

Now the puzzles are bugged out again. I lost one and should gotten some minus points, but I didn't. Then i solved 5 easy, medium and hard puzzles and didn't get any plus points. And my old stats of playing 3500+ amount of puzzles are gone. I'm not really complaining, since this is a free to play site. Just reporting it as a bug. Since I do enjoy it when it is working. And what ever software you had to detect cheaters. That is obviously not working. No offence, just reporting my observations. I do love that feature where I can see what part of my game I need practise more on. That is genius.

I have admitted cheating puzzles in several posts, not due to cheating for the mere sake of it, but for the many nuisances about old and new puzzles (you know, engine-style puzzles), so whenever I was pissed of a puzzle that I basically understood but still solved wrong for whatever reason, then I decided to undo the loss from that puzzle. I still did puzzles for training purposes, you can see that my rating did not skyrocket shamelessly, it still had some downs as well, similar to my standard ratings except just 700 points higher since that's the region I reached by own force.
Now, with the new system things got better, so I stopped cheating for the most part, EXCEPT when I had a mouseslip or if I wanted to save myself the time of farming mate-in-2-puzzles. (And I also refunded the massive rating loss suffered by when the ratings were turned back to provisional).

So now, is my rating permanently disabled, or will I get a new one after some time? I did two ones rated around 2000 and nothing happened. While e.g. #3 and #31 could do a puzzle again and start from scratch (which is still displayed). Also I noticed that this thread is a few days old, but I only noticed today that I was affected.

Um so my rating has a question mark, but if I try to do more puzzles, I do not gain or lose anything. Can anyone help?

Just have fun with puzzles, also try out the new puzzle streaks minigame.

@ShiftyBoiOnQuack seems like Lichess terminated the puzzle ratings of many many people who cheated puzzles (mine too, for reasons listed above).

I'm not THAT upset, I get the reasoning and I mostly focus on the new features anyway, but I think a more diplomatic solution would have been to reset everyone to 1500 AND give them a notification from the official Lichess bot, to tell them that it's not tolerated anymore and if they kept it up, they'd had their rating disabled permanently.

Because as of now, it seems like every guilty person no longer has a puzzle rating, INCLUDING potential false positives.

"Next, I think I will make it so the puzzle rating is only visible to self, and not to other players." - I kinda support this.
