Can't create game with specific side any more

If you wish I can do it your way...

if lichess instead of removing 2 buttons of sides would add one more button "only fair games" and for this who choose this option will not much players that play one side only. How do you think players playing one side would create such forum and advocate to remove this button? I suppose answer is no.
This means just one things the players playing one side do not want to abuse anyone.
The one who wants to abuse are people like you that want force them to do something they do not want.
It is also clear from way to speak who is abuser: "you must" "in line"...

Nope, I wouldn't don't force them to do anything. Again, if they can find someone to play 100000 games with where they have white, or start with a +3 position: all the better! I think they should do what they want.

But even more so, I believe that they should only get these unfair settings if their opponent agrees with them. From now on, the standard is to have fair matches, and you can still play any odds and special circumstances that you can think of - if your opponent accepts. This is truly fair, and allows true freedom of play for everyone.

You must be fair to others, yes. That's a very abusive thing of me to demand of others.

You know if you really cannot understand that liberty not equal for limiting (although both starting on li), forcing someone is abuse in most cases, exclude from society people that just want to be not a way you are, accept other solutions for ambivalent problems.... I miss my point I thought here is possible to speak with people that can understand simple things but seems it is not a case with every one who play chess.

Sorry for trying to force you be just a little bit more open minded than closed closet.
and very sorry if it abused you.
and happy I was excluded from society where I could be free to do what I said I must to do :)

nonsense, you are still free to do as you want. But now of course, you can not force others to do what you want. Lichess has also forced people that want to be themselves to stop playing with engines. I am sure they also feel excluded from society and that their liberty is impaired.
Unfortunately from them, and for you, liberty does not mean you can abuse other or take advantage of fair people.
You can be free to do what you want, but not at the expense of others. If that is too difficult for you to understand, we just have to accept that. In either case, everybody is now treated fair, that is more important than making you understand why that is a good thing

Doesn't everyone win now?

You can still choose your preferred color, and the lobby is now an even field. What is the problem, nobody is forced to play or not play in any way

Wether you agree or disagree with the change, it's ridiculously that Lichess still remains silent after all of this.

I don't like the fact that they did this without consulting the users. Many of us only use this when we want to play as a specific color for our opening practice.
If you really want to stop people from play white only then maybe limit the Black/White ratio of their games, like you're only able to choose white if 30% or more of your games are black.

But I feel like this is creating a problem out of nothing. I have never seen anyone complaining about this, on both Lichess and Chess.com. If you really think it's a problem then discuss it with your users, don't just make a change that will affect many users out of no where.

I've played thousands of games on this site but I will stop playing until Lichess give us a satisfactory reason for why they need to do this.

Agreed, it seems they have punished every player who legitimately uses this feature whenever they need to exercise in a certain opening, just because there are some people abusing it in rated games. I dont buy that keeping the option for casual games could be abused, it was just a lazy decision to remove it entirely, because adding a condition in code would be too time consuming.

What is the official line from Lichess?

Has the option actually been blocked?

In the commit message from Thibault, where he removes it from match making (you can still play it with invites or against AI), he notes that it is because the feature is abused to exclusively play with white.

Ah so the question does remain then. - Why not have the option in casual games? Why not have the option to choose Black?
