My IQ is 45, can I be an effective chess player?
In short There is a low correlation.
Becoming good at chess requires lots of practice on a logarithmic curve. Having a high IQ just simply makes one learn faster.
Is it that high IQ makes a person learn faster, like through interests or is it an enable thing? Do I have to do things differently with a far below average IQ?
