Time management for me is my biggest issue. Look at my blitz rating compared to my rapid or my provisional classical! Its like a 500 point difference! I end up down to my increment in blitz, when I either blunder or flag. (2171 lichess rapid)

- Playing too fast As I am always up on time and I just blunder
- Bad opening preparation
- Middle game is okay but not the best
- Giving my queen for free(2140- Rapid, 2150- Blitz, 2342-Bullet As of now)

As a teenager. Started playing tournaments when I was like 14 and attended chess clubs, and then stopped playing when I was around 19. Played for a few years in my late 20s and then stopped again. Im 38 years old now and back at it. Most of my playing experience has been over the board, either without a clock or with a clock for more serious games but the time control was at least Game 30 (30/0). I certainly wasnt someone who played a lot of blitz as a teenager. For me chess has always been a slow game played with a 3 dimensional board.
Why do you ask? (purely out of curiosity).

If you are "Fast" as you claim, then why are you still 1300?
