Is cheating increasing?

Well a friend of mine used chess engine to play and advised me to do the same! Ha! I want to play normally dude! So later his account showed

"This account violated the lichess terms of service"

And since then I reminded him forever about it.

I advise you, not to do so!
not to do what, to cheat or to remind them forever? xd

Some of the chess apps other than lichess and chessdotcom I close because of the 1000 elo played like 2600...
I don’t think it’s increasing by as much as the number of threads on cheating asking exactly the same question about whether cheating is increasing. Cheating may be increasing it may not but the number of threads on how cheating is increasing is most definitely increasing. As more players join they may think they can cheat and cheating may increase but many of those cheaters will get caught so eventually cheating will not increase. But then again maybe cheating will increase. Who knows?

It would most interesting to have more threads not on the subject of whether cheating is increasing or whether it isn’t.

In all seriousness I hope that Lichess continues to strengthen anti cheating measures so that as many of these cheating toe rags as possible are caught and banned. 3 months first offence, 24 months second offence and then permanent ban if you’re arrogant enough to get caught a third time.

Platforms need to share information so these tossers can’t switch from one platform to another with impunity.
@lichess can delete, ban, and mark your account anytime without a proper reason. Never open a real named account on Lichess to avoid defamation.
