I personally don't agree with this comment section in that the deadlines of the Virus is it's scariest part.
I find it's scariest part to be it's permanent or long term side effects. COVID-19 has been linked to presumed permanent cognitive decline, loss of vision, taste, etc.
For all intents and purposes, this virus should be compared more to something like Herpes than let's say flu - where all you need to consider is it's deadlines.
Don't get me wrong, the 2% fatality rate of the virus is scary and it's a valid concern. But looking more deeply than the surface level - seeing the high average count of comorbidities (4-5), and looking at the actual cases, the virus's deadlines isn't as scary as it's long term or permanent side effects.
5% if the 2% have the virus as it's sole cause of death. Just so people know what I'm talking about, here's random comorbidity cases:
Case1: Active smoking, COPD, HIV-infection, obesity, ventricular fibrillation
Case2: Diabetes II, heart failure, hypertension, obesity, OSAS
Case3: Asthma, COPD, hypertension, mesenterial infarction
Case4: Asthma, atrial fibrillation, hypertension, sinus node arrest
Case5: Hypertension, ischaemic heart disease, obesity, OSAS
Case6: Atrial fibrillation, chronic renal failure, COPD, dementia, hypertension, ischaemic heart disease, liver cirrhosis
Case7: Hemiplegia, pulmonary embolism
Case8: Dementia, diabetes II, hypertension, ischaemic heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, stroke
Case9: Alcohol abuse, heart failure, obesity
Case10: Active smoking, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, hypertension, ischaemic heart failure, obesity
On the topic though: I'm from Latvia, and we have to be home by 8pm and the shops close at 7pm.
If nothing else, coming to a tournament here from foreign countries sounds boring - you'd pretty much sit in your hotel rooms the entire time.

Criminals want the Kovid virus to last as long as possible to earn money
Criminals is an understatement of course.
Maybe one day people will finally accept that they are individuals with agency over their own choices and freely decide wheter or not they would like to participate in an event based on their own assessment of the risks rather than the word of an incompetent and authoritarian rule.
Let's see whether they can complete the tournament this time...
Is it imposible
