Would it be hard to combine crazyhouse and add another board? cause bug house is crazyhouce but the pieces go to your teammate

As a coder myself, I can testify to how hard it would be to code a bughouse option in Lichess.org.

It's an interesting thought, and with Lichess being the free alternative I understand the issues re space. I unfortunately don't possess the skills nor bankroll to help make this happen, but if there were some kind of fundraiser I'd definitely contribute towards it, as I imagine others would!

Probably because Chess.com has professional developers, so they can develop different variants.

Lichess can't just copy everything from chess.com. Maybe one day Lichess will have its own variants

That's so absurd. Did Lichess "copy" chess.com because chess was already on chess.com? It's not like bughouse has been invented by chess.com, it's a chess variant that existed from a long time and many chess players are bughouse enthusiasts so one would expect to see it on a good chess website.

And as I said the code for it probably already exist somehow @AlAnLiAnG.

Same goes for multiplayer variants, these have been around for some years before chess.com (or even the internet for that matter...)

You guys don't understand the reason bughouse/4 player chess can't be implemented. The site architecture is 1 vs 1, so to have 4 player variants the whole site would need to be rewritten. But MAYBE with v3, that will change.
