Oh right - some of the captures and pawn moves will have to happen on white's turn.
First black moves some of his pawns
Then white makes all the captures needed for the pawns to promote (one half-move lost) and promotes his own pawns.
Then black promotes his pawns and captures all of white's army (except for one rook or queen if we want white to win) (another half-move lost)
Then white captures black's remaining army (third half-move lost) . 5898.5 moves.

#11 What is it about Wiki's chess pages that you don't like? I don't think there's a better collection of general chess info on the web than wiki. If only I could absorb all that knowledge. I use it a lot! :]

@Skittle-Head I could go to a wiki page right now , ruin all of it and then you'll have more "knowledge" to "absorb". Sadly , people edit and destroy wiki pages too often. @Sarg0n it's not what they all say , a pure fact is a fact. Not an opinion , a fact.

Sargons wiki page is exactly one 50 move rule away from my books number so its likely very accurate.

@BennyGiggles Apart from your question... It would seem that you don't know how to mate with a King and Rook. Its a basic mate and easy to master. I suggest you take the Lichess basic chess course. If you had known how to mate with a King and Rook in your game...The 50 move rule thing would have never come up. It only takes a few moves to mate with the King and Rook. The easy-quick win was yours on move 48...KxR :]

@SupremePatzer
- Some pages are protected.
- All of Wikipedia's info is cited. If it's not, then don't use it.
- If you try and vandalize a page, I'm pretty sure they have some sort of system for banning users. And probably a "trust" system as well. They're not stupid, unlike certain computer users.

If you're really confident in your point, then why don't you go and vandalize the Wikipedia page that is a Glossary of Chess terms? (It's called "Glossary of chess".)

If your clock runs down, but you are winning by a lot ,the game is drawn.(It only happens on Lichess.)
