Regium: Extraordinary Claims Require Extraordinary Evidence

By now they must realize that this project will be reported to Kickstarter (or any other crowdfunding platform) for fraud the moment it is launched, if not before then.

With all the open source detectiving that took place over the last day or two and the deception that's come to light I'm really curious how they plan to complete their crowdfunding campaigns and not have them shut down before any money is exchanged.
Out of interest Chess24 took down a forum post I started either last week or the week before pointing towards the suspicions that other chess communities had. Clearly they weren’t up for a blitz of banter on this topic, so to speak.
I saw on an update from Chess.com :- The boards shown in promotional videos are manufactured by Spanish company Rechapados Ferrer. A representative of the company has indicated that the boards pictured in the videos have not been modified by the manufacturer with any components that would allow for the technology presented in those videos.
@Solal35 I think in this case the members of both sites are working together to uncover the fakery. We should be pleased there is cooperation between these sites which are generally unfriendly towards each other
@J4Pins Their reply to your email really cracked me up 😅

Translation: "We are promoting a product that doesn't exist, trying to raise a lot of money. Trust us, we totally won't take all your money and disappear".

It's like convincing a girl to sleep with you unprotected and say " Trust me, if you get pregnant then I surely will NOT disappear".... Duh
@297, weird comparison, but ok.

The thing is, my hype quickly vanished.

I actually got pretty pissed off, thinking that if I'm going to finance a project like that and share the risk of failure, then why can't I also share the "risk" of success?

"Shares" being the key word here. So they are actually looking for shareholders who will only pay for their project but not get any return in case of success? Goddamit, go to a fucking bank and ask for a fucking loan, you TWATS.
I'd like to see the underside of that board, all the stacked electromagnets and where the hell did they put all the other electronics in there.
@J4Pins My point being that it is obviously becoming an insult to our intelligence. Trying to trick chess players is a bad idea to begin with. Now back to playing chess, it's free :)
