Did you come to lichess from chess.com?

I came here from FICS, which I had played on since hearing about it in my university chess club around 2006. I first learned about lichess in 2016 and never looked back.

I got tired of the other chess site and came here. In my view Lichess is a better site.

I came here recently because of my frustration with all of the disconnects and abandonments on chess.com.

I started with Chess.com and even paid for the Gold Membership, though I found it less useful than expected. Both Chess.com and Lichess have their pros and cons.

Lichess stands out for being much more user-friendly and accessible without any cost. It offers free analysis, excellent studies, a great forum, and engaging blog posts. I also appreciate LichessTV and find its puzzle selection and themes superior. The opening analysis is particularly useful, as it lets you review moves from opponents with similar ratings. Additionally, Lichess provides insightful feedback on your games in a broad sense.

On the flip side, I appreciate the Game Review feature on Chess.com. While I’m not sure how beneficial it is for higher-rated players, as a beginner, I find it incredibly helpful for understanding my mistakes. It’s easier for me to learn from mistakes through the Game Review than through analysis alone. However, I’m not fond of how Chess.com seems to push for paid features, like game reviews and chess insights. Lessons on chess.com are also not so bad

No.
I have played and I do play here and there on chesscom. My account there is older than here.
But I have played where I have found I could play chess.
Yahoo.
WCN (extinct)
other servers that I dont remember.
FICS.

Just that I found lichess and I have seen that its the best of them all. So I am here.
If I find a better one I will change. I doubt Ill find a better one, so Im not looking. I have no reason to do so.

Since I started chess as a 10 year old in 2019 I've been on this amazing platform and I used to play 100 games per day and I think this is the best platform to improve your game and play for free!
