Did you come to lichess from chess.com?

I did do chess.com but there are paywalls and ads which make my comp really laggy but lichess is free with no ads and no paywalls and has the same, possibly better features of chess.com and yeah.

It's hard to compare, both have different positive aspects. For example, chess.com has more variants and lichess has a better tactics trainer. However for those who don't want to spend money on chess, lichess is much suitable because it is a non - profit organization.

While I believe the features of chess.com are adequate, it sure looks like a sizable number of lichess users dislike the site for a variety of reasons, which I understand. There are indeed legitimate reasons to avoid that site as well as to be on it, but I guess the former outweighs the latter.

It is what it is, and I suppose we can accept it as such.

Actually I personally think that Lichess is better. Because Lichess is a free website. We do no have to pay money to play chess unlike Chess.com.

lichess is better cause it's free and it's true we have to pay money on chess.com to get upgrade but we can do unlimited accuracy in lichess and in chess.com only 1 time in a day

Not unlimited but 40 times a day

Still way better than chess.com and you probably won't even use all of it

I am a member came from chess.com to lichess. chess.com has (had) some problems with their policy.
chess.com is recidivist about closing accounts due to unfair play claim without convincing proofs. When they closed my account in 2017, i came this site and never used it back. I never used computer assistance in blitz/bullet/rapid games. And my last correspondence game was in 2013 and my coresspondence chess rating was almost equal with bullet. (Also making less mistakes does not mean that all players use external assistance in every move in all correspondence games) Also my all blitz/bullet etc games were unrated from 2016 to 2017 and only rated games were inspected due to their policy stated in their site.
I read that they closed WGM Yelena Dembo's account in 2010. Look at the kibitzing part of the page:
https://www.chessgames.com/player/yelena_dembo.html?kpage=17
And we recently learned that they closed WFM Malak Ismayil's account too: https://lichess.org/@/Toadofsky/blog/tilted-tuesday-tribulations/qfWoRutf
Looking carefully, another statistics may seem that they generally close free members' accounts due to fair policy or misbehaviour etc. You rarely see that they close premium members' accounts.
Also they have advertisements on all their pages and you should adblockers to make them faster or have to be a premium member.
Also you may see some politics topics in their forums/blogs created by some members including hate speech. They permit and does not remove (or let stand for months or years without being removed) some posts including mariginal ideas and hate speech (for example blaming a religion's or nation's all members as terorists) while not permit the other mariginal people.
Of course all these are valid for 2017 and I am not sure (not sure but think so) if these are still the through the years past.
