I liked the old version better but I will keep playing.
I mean, it's ugly but chess is chess and this is the best place I know. I appreciate the efforts and I understand there was a need for code to be updated. I just hope you eventually tweak the interface so it doesn't look that bad anymore.

For people still using XP and connected to the internet. Your PCs are most likely p0wned right now.
Linux is free, you can try it from an USB stick.

Hi,

The site is excellent. I appreciate the efforts you have put in to refresh it and I'm sure I'll soon get used to the changes to the size/colours etc.

The only issue I have is that I've experienced far more "blank boards" - happening most of the time now. At the start of the game the pieces are not shown. Can occasionally get them to come back by refreshing but usually just have to abort or let my opponent do it.

Does anyone else get this?

It used to happened very infrequently previously - usually if I went off to do something else while waiting for a game.

Horrible. The board is way too big. I lost my queen in my first (and only) game on this lichess version 2. Now I will go to chess.com, which is also bad enough.

The pieces don't look fuzzy for me, but lichess is lagging a lot, which is not great for ultra bullet. I'd better have fuzzy pieces instead of laggy lichess.

I just played a game against Stockfish 1 to check, and had no issue promoting. You can look at the awful game I played - move 43.
