Should FIDE ban the Israeli flag?

What are your thoughts on the idea FIDE banning the Israeli flag?
This would be similar to what they did with the Russian and Belarusian flags

I don't support Israel by any mean but I don't think FIDE should ban any flag at all. Sure everything is politic but still, the political actions of a government doesn't represent what the people may or may not support. Flags are an important part of one's culture and this just denies it.

But since they did ban russian and belarussian flags, they should definitely ban the israeli flag for its shameful actions

I agree with #2. Banning their flags won't change the fact they are still countries.

I think that FIDE's choice to ban the flags of Russia and Ukraine has done nothing whatsoever, and would cause even more controversy to the chess world regarding the Gaza War.

Regarding Russia and Belarus, the bar for flag-banning has been set at the level of geopolitical conflict. Israel's ethnofacist campaign in Gaza far exceeds that level. Either ban the Israeli flag or unban the Russian and Belarusian flags.

There are lots of controversies in the chess world, cheating accusations, the Kramnik Naroditsky controversy; should everything be swept under the rug instead?

There is no reason for that.

This would be similar to what they did with the Russian and Belarusian flags

Russian and Belarusian flags were banned because these countries started a huge war. Israel didn't start any wars.

#7, The FIDE expelled South Africa in the 1970s due to its apartheid policies. Israel's prolonged ethnic cleansing of the West Bank through land theft qualifies it for the same treatment.
