@gobblegooble Wouldn't in your own words any evidence I brought up be a product of so-called "systemic racism" and therefore be invalid because it was written by the corrupt police?
Here's another expression don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
So since my hands are tied on legitimate records from the Police and Law enforcement records- Let's use something impartial by your standards the Washington post.
www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2019/national/police-shootings-2019/ You'll notice a majority killed by Cops are actually White. This link is keeping a live count btw. 1003+ killed and counting. (in total of all races)
You talk about systemic racism but when a police officer particularly a White Cop kills a Black person you better believe there is a national outcry. It's front-page national news and the individual Cops responsible are brought to justice - but that's neither here nor there.
Baltimore - when Freddy Grey was killed, Baltimore city 45% Black population a Democrat majority in the city council, many of whom were Black, A Black Mayor, Top Cop of the time was Black, majority of the Police Command Staff is Black, Black Attorney General.
Yet it was deemed a Racist attack in spite of three of the six cops being black in a majority-black community with unanimous black leadership.
The funny thing about these attacks you can never prove the intent of racism.
A study by the University of Washington by Professor Lois James, and her co-authors Professors Bryan Vila and David Klinger
link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11292-014-9204-9Results which conclude.
"Study results suggest that subconscious associations between race and threat exhibited by participants are not linked to their shooting behavior."
But the paper also has data suggesting police officers are more hesitant to draw a weapon on Black criminals on the job.. Probably because of the social repercussion of doing so can end a Police officer's career. Another portion suggest police are less likely to intervene.. Which unrelated to the article would serve to explain why Black on black crime has been so rampant in Chicago. Which is a real tragedy where's BLM for that?
Not to mention that records show though I won't provide them here in case they are tainted with racism say that the number of Blacks percentage killed by cops has been on a decline for the last 40 years. The percentage of whites killed by cops has remained level.
But I digress.
Talk about more institutions that bring the Black Community down? Not Education, Blacks with lower GPA and SAT scores than Whites or Asians will get into the same school, Higher education means more opportunities to enter the middle class. If you grow up in poverty - in the city or both you're more accessible to grants.
But all this...
All of this I would not care to cover. What I do care about is that George Floyd regardless of his checkered past didn't need to have to die. Those dozen of lives who died in these riots like David Dorn didn't have to die either. These facts of Race don't concern me. The fact innocent American lives are being plucked from us.
And instead of working together and making positive changes. You want to tell me that the Racist Boogeyman is pulling the strings. That's too easy an excuse. The Truth of the matter is we have ill-trained ill-preforming Police and there needs to be a serious overhaul but all of that is loss on us when we narrow this into the trappings of Race. I don't want PEOPLE to die. I don't care who they are or what they look like. We can do better. So much better.
