It's fun to watch surveys get supported one day and testily dismissed the next.
By the way, no survey determines what "everybody" believes unless "everybody" is surveyed or unless the surveyed belief is genuinely unanimous. That's true, but not particularly important.
A survey is an experimental sample. If "everyone" is surveyed (or at least that's attempted) I believe they call it a "census."
In any event, the speech was better received by the average person, I suspect, than any attempt to "stay seated" even while charming kids or brave men or women were honored by President Trump.
But what do I know. I wasn't even holding up a sign during the speech. I was just listening. And, frankly, I thought the speech was among his best. And I truly don't understand why anyone would "stay seated" while brave kids, men or women are being honored, even if the person doing or announcing the honoring was a political adversary.
Of course, for those who didn't actually watch the speech, but are only going to listen to soundbites selected by commentators they agree with, they might not realize even to what I am referring. It's less likely to be shown to them, since few, I believe, thought it was a "good look."
Yet another reason to look to a genuine diversity of news sources, and to watch some speeches and events live, and unfiltered, if we can.
By the way, I truly don't think Denmark is in any danger of invasion by America. Truly, I don't. For those who do, I hope you find comfort.
