For All who say Lichess Is Propaganda

To get a sense of Putin’s decision making progress, I suggest reading Garry Kasparov’s literature on the subject.

I also like the chess CAPTCHAs here. Doesn’t affect my puzzle rating the way the formal puzzle section does. :)

lets not conveniently forget that ukraine also teamed up with the nazis and attacked poland

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massacres_of_Poles_in_Volhynia_and_Eastern_Galicia

As did the Russians, or are you conveniently forgetting this? Also, Russia has a history of attacking Ukraine. Stalin?

Oh, and Ukraine was USSR, so under Russia's control at the time.

i'm not forgetting anything, you are just not reading. mopman already pointed that out, while omitting other facts.

the problem you are having clairemarie123 is called double standards. you pick and choose what you believe are facts, while ignoring others.

Ukraine was already under the USSR at the time

And please explain my double standards, in detail?

im sure you know all about the history of europe, but you would have to read more about who actually committed those atrocities.

I understand Ukrainian atrocities at the time. In particular the treatment of Jews, but that doesn't absolve Russia's part in the crime, and the view of Ukraine as a puppet state

Times have moved on, and we no longer hold Germany at fault for the crimes of Hitler. Dredging up the past is a weak argument for attacking Ukraine. And it's not as if Ukraine had any major part to play in the outcome of the war

the double standard is not just you specifically, but in your case it is was about about who can and cannot invade a country in the name of defense, and who has to have proof of anthrax before they do it.

i am not absolving russia of any crime. i don't even have the facts because there is propaganda coming from both sides. and it really is not clear who is actually using ukraine as a puppet state.

and it is not just the jews, the hero of modern ukraine committed those atrocities.

The hero of modern Ukraine is Zelensky. No other. Ukraine, like all fledgling democracies, must be allowed time to grow and mature. They are doing that, and that is a threat to Putin, and his oligarchs
