@Harsh1234qwerty Yes, and they're allowed to do that. However, blocking social media is generally condemmed because social media tries to keep free speech (and the blocking of free speech results in bans from social media), so blocking it is clearly seeming to be against free speech. And it is.

Even if there are "friendly politics" threads (and there was a few), it will devolve into chaos (and it did). The lichess supporting BLM thread? Devolved into chaos the moment a bunch of fools got politics in.

btw social media rules have remained pretty much the same for a while now: keep the correct information going, but allow people to express what they want as long as they don't make a temper tantrum.
