@Mahith1708 I'm fairly certain I know more about India than you do of China or COVID-19. What Modi has done is a travesty for all India, and it was largely avoidable.

@Mahith1708 Foreigners h have no right to talk about India, but you can talk about other countries? Worse, you talk about other countries without evidence or facts.
Even if covid were manufactured in a lab, which is tenuous at best, there is no reason not evidence to suspect it's a biological weapon.

OK, I'm about to make a post which many people may strongly disagree with, but since the main wave of Lichess forumers have passed, I'm guessing it'll be OK.
Is democracy REALLY better than communism?
Now, there are loads of people out there who think so - I mean, power with the people, right? But, as some wise man once said, would you get inexperienced common citizens to vote for, let's say, who'd be a captain of a ship? Or would you choose experienced people who knew best? The latter, right? Therefore, we can assume that modern-day democracy is also prone to people not even reading manifestos/understanding promises very well. Thus, most of the time, we'll just assume that whoever we vote on will DEFINITELY do what they/other people promised that they'd do. Take Britain, for example. It's just two parties - the Labour come on, then they get voted off. The Conservatives come on, they get voted off too. Not exactly ideal, is it?
With communism, there is JUST one person - no one else - so no arguments, no hassle. OK, that last statement is slightly biased, but that's the IDEA. In practice, it's just one person doing whatever he/she pleases, and a nation of poor people. But yes, at least there aren't arguments about 'fudged results' and 'bribery' and whatnot.
Now, I'm not saying that communism is perfect, and I'm not saying that democracy is certainly worse than it, but I'm just trying to point out that democracy is not perfect. But whilst it may be prone to bribery and misconceptions with the public understanding of the intentions of the government, it probably IS the best way of running a nation.

68 what you are describing as communism isnt communism it is totalitarianism , something completely different , i get the common mistake you and many others make as it has been wrongly labelled communism , ,but communism isnt about one big boss ,telling everyone what to do , its about all workers controlling how a country is run
,(often called "the dictatorship of the proletariat)
so pretty much the opposite to what is politically in control of so many so called "communist " countries
