Can't create game with specific side any more

It feels like racism to talk of such players as "abusers" and "unfair players" etc.
Is there an expression if you opress and demonize a minority such as white-only-players?

lol

"Those who abuse it must be rare enough that it is hardly noticeable when pairing for games."

My mum (83), rated around 900 "abused" it, but I would not call her abuser for playing only with the white pieces.
I can quite well understand her desire to only play white. First, she is used to this, and second, she doesnt know black openings from her side, she only plays against them with white. for her its irritating, and not the game she loves, if she suddenly plays with black.

My mum (84) rated around 800 has been abused by this feature. She plays both sides fairly and for her it's irritating that other people can force her to always play black against them. For her it is not the game she loves if other people can force her to play only black

Can you blame her? Or even tell her she is abusing lichess? She isnt a fair player?
I mean, that really goes too far in a liberal society. Chess is a game, and supposed to be fun. C'mon!

Yes, they made the site more liberal now! Nobody can be forced by other people to play a certain color. Everybody has a free choice now

Calling that racism is antisemitic and transphobic

seriously, I do not believe that your mom 84, thinks this way, rated 800. It sounds made up by you, tbh. Other users might see that similarly. Those who read his arguement with his 84 year old mum can vote him down, or click the thinking emote (if you dont believe him).

That comment of yours, somehow, is making fun of her. Not sure if about my mum or yours or both. Dont you respect your mother? or elderly players? I dont get it, but really, that doesnt sound right , though I can not put my finger on it what's wrong here.

Wow what a racist thing to say

Of course I respect my mom. That is why it was so hard for me that she had to go through this. Luckily, Lichess chose to protect the elders from abuse

The main sentiment seems to be that this change was too broadly applied. It's a good thing for rated, sure, but maybe not so good for casual given the other website allows choosing your color for unrated matchmaking.

It should be brought back to Casual for the lobby and removed from rated when challenging a specific player. This is an inaccuracy from Thibault, who didn't think hard enough about what to consider abuse.

Yea, nobody believes this story about your mom and her need to play white either. It's also a very strange argument to make when he is saying the feature was inherently unfair, and you're someone trying to make this about your mom being singled out. Horrible argument, even more horrible to try to use her to someone win some kind of vote

@BeDecentForAChange
transphobic
adjective
having or showing a dislike of or strong prejudice against transgender people.

anti-Semitic
adjective
adjective: antisemitic
hostile to or prejudiced against Jewish people.

"racist thing" = racism
noun
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.

None of that applies, you seem not to know what you are talking about. The subject is not familiar to you, my impression.
If you dont know, then dont answer my question.

And guess what? you dont even feel bad to use such words in the wrong context, that's the worst about it!

Typical of someone who is having a tantrum because he can no longer force people to play at a disadvantage. Typical abusive comment, it's good that Lichess has limited exposure of this kind to fair players now

Your lichess accounts, they only conversate together or do they also play chess against each other?
