@chessypiano I suggested a simple solution when you only have a pencil, a scrape of paper and very little time. And this works! Calling it nonsense is only trash talk.

You can design your own pieces. I use a small circle for a pawn, this circle with a cross above for the king, this circle with two or three lines above as queen, etc. ... I saw other designs. I didn't get along with letters. So my deficit drove me to this solution.

I really like using 2 for knight but the other characters not so much - letters are simple
Instead of wK i'll just circle the K and the other white pieces.
Maybe to make more room I should also lowercase the white pieces.
Neustart that's an interesting pen - i've never seen that type of pen before. The tip of the pen is different
I guess my circling won't work with pens...
Printing, picture, and portable are all really good ideas. I think that's the best solution actually.
