Why is it so frustrating to lose a game?!

Chess is a game of intellect, so when someone else beats you it feels like crap. Our natural ego of wanting to avoid losing is what drives us to win.
All the best
I think that it's the disappointment one simply expects too much of one's self. I myself have to think before every game to keep calm and enjoy does not matter win or lose.
Yes, a player who expects to win, and thinks highly of themselves, will get mad
There is always those talents who expect to win and neve react when they do
Buddhist philosophy:
Life is suffering/stressful.
The cause of suffering/stress is greed/desire.
Suffering can be finished by stop to be attached to greed/desire.
To manage this Buddha recommended the eightfold path.
I don't believe in soul, karma, rebirth, .... My occupation with this philosophy had practical reasons. There is truth in it. Losing a game is stressful, hurts, because you want to win, you want to be someone by winning, you see not knowing enough as disturbing, etc. It's the ego making you suffer, not the lost game.
Observe yourself, if and how this shows up in your life. Reject what's wrong. Good luck on the journey!
I love your comment but how can someone be happy if they don't have work?
@Neustart : oh, sorry. I don't belive in buda, I just have only one God, who is Jesus Crist. But thanks anyway!
It's so frustrating because you invest a lot of energy to think of every move you make, and in the end you don't get rewarded for it, on the contrary.
That's why the most frustrating losses are the ones which you ruin the whole game with a single deadly blunder, or losing on time in a hard earned better or winning position.
That's why I don't like blitz, the probability of one of those two to happen is very high, at least for slow thinker like me who can't remember opening variations by heart no matter how many games I played.
Why is it so frustrating to lose a game?!
Because losing a game is frustrating
If anyone understands what I said...
Well, it isn't.
