As a kid, what I learned from chess was how wrong the adults are when they say things like "You can do everything if you really want to", "Nothing is impossible", "Just do it! (Nike)" etc.

Honestly, I can’t say that I have learned anything from chess.
However, I find an analogy between my approach to chess and my life experience : if I calculate the consequences (good and bad ) before making decisions instead of acting hastily and istinctively, it’s much, much better.
