Using pen and paper

Am I allowed to make notes using pen & paper while playing games and/or solving puzzles on Lichess?

doesn't really make sense why you wouldn't. You have access to the 'notes' section anyways, in games.

how should lichess EVER control that? 😂 they would need to install spyware on your device to maybe know...

You can take picture, set up physical board and play it, or you can even use Stockfish to solve it.

Puzzles are just for training, no rules.

Never ever dare to do that or french army leaded by thibault will ascend your place.
Army will consist of horseys as well

It's not allowed to take down notes in Ultrabullet, that's sandbagging XD

Of course you are allowed to record the moves played. But no additional notes, ok?
