What am I looking at?

I speak as a user who has been here many years. Nothing more.

Join date December 2024. So whose sockpuppet are you?

You can save the condescending indifference, too.

There are several unambiguous and unnegotiable rules of conduct. No ifs no buts. And if staff fails to enforce them, if posts like https://lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/off-topic-section-is-becoming-a-liability#1 or https://lichess.org/forum/community-blog-discussions/ublog-3ER2w6e4#4 need to be made, this IS concerning.

volunteer mods are relied upon, but sounds like some mods are part of the problem which sucks and kind of explains the frustration flying around here, dont think they are going after you personally, or maybe they are, i dont have a clue, honestly ai moderation would save us a lot of grief, cant wait to see how that plays out

It is not possible to have a respectful community here on lichess, once the moderators ban people with different political views; if you support conservative values, you must keep quiet or will be banned sooner or later.

For example: they often celebrate the LGBT pride day; you must just accept and be quiet, you don't dare to oppose. To me, that's okay to believe in different things, if they make their celebration in their personal profiles or even in a regular topic like any other, that's fine. But they actually throw political agenda in your face, publishing such things in the main page in a chess website, and they silence anyone who disagrees. Just forget about respect, there is no respect here.

Lichess is the best free chess website available, it's really good, the study system is so useful, I'm using it more than my chessbase because it's easier and better because it's online. I am currently using the chessbase only when I need a better database or engine. If you focus on chess, and forget about the forum, this platform will be very useful.
But still, even being a good place to practice chess, I personally would never be a patron, and if a new 100% free option appears, with the true purpose of being 100% chess and nothing else, I will migrate for sure.

Thanks for your response. I thought yojoey was pointing to that post as some evidence of his/her claims but it isnt.

Mods are never gonna be perfect. There will be disagreement and disputes amongst them. They are just volunteers with different viewpoints.

Not sure if ai can solve this...

Lovely example of a disrespectful post coming from the guy demanding we all be respectful. Some might take offence at being accused of being a sockpuppet. The irony...
Don't worry, i wont report you. You didnt hurt my feelings. Please stop with the accusations and namecalling though as you are violating the Lichess TOS.

Ive been here since 2017, so a bit longer than you if your current account isnt a 'sockpuppet' account.

Do you always give your opinions about things that you admittedly do not have a clue about?

Why are you still here talking about things you know nothing about? It seems like you are projecting. You are really hard trying to defend things that you clearly misapprehend. It must make you feel important to weigh in on issues you don’t understand.

Keep me right. I'm here to learn...

If there is something I've said that is wrong, please correct me. Otherwise your post is just meaningless.

All the best x

You prejudge issues before understanding where the other side is coming from. You made a rush to judgment. In chess parlance, you are not evaluating the situation objectively. Put your misinformed feelings and opinions to the side and understand where the other side is coming from. As you have demonstrated that you do not have anything to contribute to this conversation, just sit back and listen. :)
