I'm a Black Man and Feel that my contribution to the Chess World is Ignored because my Color

@michuk
Yeah, you have to be more specific, what contribution did you make to the Chess world? And why do you think your contribution is Ignored?

I am with Peter Ustinov, who became problems with U.K. customs authority when he described his skin color as "nearly pink".

I'm sorry that happened for you. England, America and other places have always had issues about this. I don't think it's quite the same as you have been through but I can understand how hard it is. Things have changed so much -- Farrell is wearing a $ 996,000 (.9 million) watch which he designed. Etc. . . This was on my news feed. So, "people in power" are not the same as it was 50 years ago. And Oprah is worth 2.6 billion dollars.

Anyway - I hope that your life path becomes calmer and better and more appreciated. I am not worried, I think you will succeed. In any case, those sorts of things are not true differences. All of us are made of the same things -- heart, mind, spirit. The body is just a decorative outer layer.

Peace and best wishes.

I'm at least not uneducated to the point that I whine about the fact that white grandmasters exist

I'm assuming this has nothing to do with Lichess, since noone can see you here. I think people will respect you regardless of skin colour irl. when you beat them at chess maybe a little bit more. I certainly respect everyone, or so I think.

I really dislike this bunching all white people together. Brits are not at all like scandis or french or germans. Spanish are they white? Russians are commonly referred to as white but all eastern europeans differ quite a bit from western europeans...and then you have the kiwis and the aussies and north america. And you compare these 850 millions "white" to what 42 million african-americans who still struggle with systematic racism, education and other socioeconomic factors. Meanwhile, in Europe we have hundreds of years with chess.

Give it time.

"Russians are commonly referred to as white..."

@michuk Naturally the chess community will reflect the general racism of the country, and the world (conflict between nationalities, religions, and races). But I have not observed our chess crowd or events to be racist in any particular or more intense way.
In the US, chess has a special, almost mystical, place in the African-American community. A large percentage of black men play chess. They show up at tournaments in numbers higher than their portion of the population. They have studied an learned. I have played against black men and youngsters several times. For my part, I did not observe any racist attitude or action, or conflict. The game, and skill at it, carry high status in the black community.
Like others, I don't know what you mean by not getting the recognition you deserve. I have been playing 35 years without any recognition, except a little prize money from time to time, and having my name posted on the wall chart.
What is it that earns you the unexpressed recognition? Exactly what would be the form of the recognition (newspaper or magazine feature, trophy, games post on line, or whatever)?
If I need to say it: this is a sincere and honest try at dialog & understanding, not any slam or attempt by me to make any point.
