I'm just curious about the percentage of Lichess members who use it, because apparently it's the world's largest online chess site, but I think this one is actually better. "Chess.com" has quite a few flaws, and I encountered some really annoying people there too. Plus they've taken a "firm stand" on a political issue, which is something that, to me, is a real turn-off. I hope this is the right place to ask this question, because I'm relatively new here and this is my very first question.

Pretty sure everyone on lichess has chesscom accounts. I find lichess smoother and I like the sounds and the interface better. Sometimes its easier to find a pairing on chesscom. Plus a lot of people at my club consider chesscom elo milestones to be the main ones.

I use both the apps for practicing and playing. Lichess is better, the design is not complicated and its free. Chess.com can offer better features sometimes but its needs premium which costs a lot of money. If u wanna msg me on chess com then heres my id-

You're mistaken. For example, I personally don't have, and never have had, an account there.

As an avid variant player, I spend more time on the Chess.com server than on Lichess, as it offers significantly more captivating variants than this server. However, as several individuals have noted, Lichess offers a smoother experience and has certain advantages in terms of consistency and latency.

The point is that there's no point in the opposite for me (that's always been the case for me). ))) I only registered on Lichess last year. And so far, in my entire life (I'm 40 now), this is the only account I've had on chess platforms.

I only use chess.com to play variants and 4 player chess since they're super fun and lichess doesn't have a lot of variants.

That's wrong. I tried Chess.com before, didn't like it and closed my account. I don't use Chess.com again. My second account is at www.schacharena.de.

It's good to know that even though you don't have to, having extra accounts on other sites can still be a good idea or useful.

It's good to know that even though you don't *have* to, having extra accounts on other sites can still be a good idea or useful.
