How many also play on chess.com?

When I first got into online chess I played over there because that was what I stumbled on first.

But as soon as I became aware of lichess, there was no contest, and I landed here. I haven't played over there since, and I never will again.

I believe that lichess is superior in every way. The interface is cleaner. The overall minimalist design is beautiful. The non-commercial model, in an era of über-capitalism, is pretty much unique, and is something to be treasured (don't take it for granted kids). It's open source. It's free, if that's what you want. Best site on the web, let alone chess.

This was so well said that it bears repeating.

I only recently created a chess . com account, mostly out of curiosity. I've played only a few games there, all anonymously, a while ago.
I've been playing on lichess for quite a few years. I think lichess is great.

I mostly play bullet, often with only a tiny portion of my brain engaged, and sometimes for many hours in a row. I perceive it as fun, even if it resembles addictive behaviour.

Anyway, because I have limited experience on the other site, I can't compare my playing experience on the two sites, but I can say that I greatly appreciate the non-commercial nature of lichess. Lichess is one of the very best free resources on the internet.
When they changed the stylized Knight logo some time ago, I lost sleep worrying that lichess was perhaps about to be taken over by a big for-profit company, but that doesn't seem to have happened.

I have occasionally played on chess24, and I used to play a bit on ICC.
Chess . com seems like a potentially useful site, but I'm more familiar with lichess and I like lichess very much.

There r different between chess bookreaders and learning chess from the scratch... anyway it's my opinion and I keep it... knowledge speak for itself

chess.com sucks vagina. Way too cluttered, disorganized, full of toxic mods, lag is a disaster, it's an overall frustrating experience. Way worse than here, which says something!

Hi

What is four-player chess?

Hi. It's a variant played on a huge board. Four players fight against one another or they play in pairs (two teams). As far as I remember they move clockwise and you can capture the opponent's king. Very cool game but full of toxic players.

I also play on chess.com. It helps that I'm not a ban on sight user there.
