Getting a CM title

To reach CM u either need to:
get 2200 FIDE outright without playing in any title qualification tournaments

or get 2000 FIDE but earn a CM title by playing in a tournament when you need to earn a certain amount of points (e.g 4.5/9) for a CM title. All you need is a peak rating of over 2000 - it doesn't matter when you drop back down, because you'll have a peak of 2000+ FIDE and that's what counts

@Break_TOS no, only GM's or IGM's can qualify for candidates tournaments. Those are only reserved for the elite.
Candidate masters are much lower than that. I got a friend who's a CM but FIDE is only 1500 lmao because he simply won the title in a tournament without needing to get 2000 FIDE (rules were different back then)

Ask CM Sarg0n! There are exceptions for the whizkids at continental championships or Olympic games. No national stuff.

You always have titles like
1.Arena candidate master >1100
2.Arena fide master >1400
3.Arena International master >1700
4.arena grandmaster. >2000

By the way you must play like 50 rapid games 150 bullet and 100 blitz for these amount of games you must not go below the needed rating
