Chess.com has more variants, puzzles, puzzle rush etc... Lichess provides many things for free which chess.com doesn't.
But, chess.com is much more better in my opinion. When it comes to cheating, chess.com has more strict rules. You can get banned for violating fair play policy, community guidelines policy, sportsmanship policy etc... Lichess is better for reasons such as better/quicker analysis, free puzzles and the studying resources. The only upside to chess.com is it's chess learning videos, rating system, and the bots to play against. Chess.com seems to be more attractive but lichess has more features for free. You only have some features in chess.com.

Doesn't this happen on every respectable chess site?

Where you guys been during the Hans scandal? He was given at least a 3rd account due to getting caught twice and no i dont believe in forgiveness when it comes to cheating, where would you draw the line? 2nd time? 3rd time? Honestly it baffles me how the attitude towards cheating is so lax, more than anything its at least 10 mins of my life I cant get back and hours in a correspondence, not to mention someone who finally gets caught prob had tons of games where he didnt, a hard zero tolerance stance is the only chance we have of stamping it out for the most part imo

Why is a single bad grandmaster representative for the question of forgiveness?

Chess.com has better bots. They have Martin, Nelson, Hans Niemann... such realistic human gameplay!

ah, yes. that's the american way. has been working out for americans in many fields too. for example, because of zero tolerance policies, they have managed to stamp out drug abuse for the most part.

A single GM? What about Carlsen, Nakamura and Naroditsky, all of them have cheated on video. Magnus has cheated multiple times! The president of Norway's chess federation has admitted cheating in online chess. One of the players cheated as a kid, the rest were all adults who should have known better!
