Most people are gonna view this as me being upset because I lost a blitz game or something, and will continue to live in a fantasy land.
Time pressure in every single game by move 8 isn't chess. That's mindless moving pieces around the board just memorizing tactics. There's no strategy involved whatsoever.

I'm going to have to disagree, sure perhaps the very quick speeds (eg. 1/2) may be "memorizing tactics", but if you are able to think quicker, you will generally have the advantage over the long run. The quicker speeds call for quicker thinking and by training to think quicker you will have an advantage for those that think slower than you.
Let's say 2 people are playing chess, but player 1 can only think 3 moves ahead per minute and player 2 can think 9 moves ahead per minute. Who is going to have the better move?
Generally the more moves you think ahead, the better tactics you will have recognized and the better chances of having the best move available.
So if you are at a level where you can easily identify and play the best move possible in a fast amount of time then this will exercise the brain to think even faster thus allowing for even faster recalls.

Many top chess players do not take rapid, blitz and bullet chess as seriously as they do chess with standard time controls. Some dismissive quotes from top chess players on the topic of it are the following:
"Playing rapid chess, one can lose the habit of concentrating for several hours in serious chess. That is why, if a player has big aims, he should limit his rapidplay in favour of serious chess." – Vladimir Kramnik[51]"Yes, I have played a blitz game once. It was on a train, in 1929." – Mikhail Botvinnik[51]"He who analyses blitz is stupid." – Rashid Nezhmetdinov[51]"Blitz chess kills your ideas." – Bobby Fischer[51]"To be honest, I consider [bullet chess] a bit moronic, and therefore I never play it." – Vladimir Kramnik[52]"Blitz – it's just a pleasure." – Vladimir Kramnik[53]"I play way too much blitz chess. It rots the brain just as surely as alcohol." – Nigel Short[54]"Blitz is simply a waste of time." – Vladimir Malakhov[55]

Top players are no scientists, they didn't hold any experiments to support that point, it's all only their opinions. The biggest counter-example is Hikaru Nakamura. Go tell that guy blitz and bullet are bad for his chess.

Pretty sure he might actually agree it's bad for his chess considering he only recently started hitting top numbers in the ratings over the last 2 years when he decided to slow down and take classical chess more seriously. Prior to that he was the top US player that couldn't get into the top 25 FIDE ranks because he failed and failed and failed again at classical tournaments.

Plawo The WHOLE POINT for BLITZ is to play FAST and not think to much. if you want to play longer games do so. but not online as many people just fancy a short game.Go to a club ot find a friend online who also wants to play longer games. Play correspondence games.
And chess is this chess in faster time controls But after 5 minute or 3+2 it isn't any more.

In my opinion...
Classic: Is about how deep you can think and who can make the better strategical and tactical moves.
Blitz and Bullet: Are about who can react faster.
Correspondence: Who is willing to put more time into thinking about a move.
Classic is the best. I personally prefer 15-20 minutes with no increments, but I'll play shorter or longer (if I have the time).

Also I really think bullet and blitz are stupid and I only ever play it if I need a chess fix without much time to actually spare and I never take it seriously. You need to put actual thought into your moves to get better, which you can't do with you only have a few minutes to move. And why would you analyze moves you didn't think about after the fact? It doesn't help to think "I should have done that" when you didn't consider the move in the first place.

I agree with Kokoro, I think the rapid clock (15-20 minutes no increment or 5-10min + increment) are ideal for online play. Blitz clocks usually leave me wishing there were a few more minutes to finish interesting games and actual classical clocks (30+ minutes) are generally soured by the fact the majority of online players don't know how to play such a clock and blitz their moves as if it were a 3 minute clock. When I do get a real classical game that isn't sullied by blitz-like blundering, though, they are among the most interesting and mentally demanding I play. Fast clocks with sharp positions, though do work up the nerves of steel however. Lots of adrenaline!

"Blitz and Bullet: Are about who can react faster."
Not true there is some real technic behind blitz
