Black Lives Matter

@Pashut I think that's a more pertinent question for sure - what the criteria is (eg, why seeming silence over HK)

@Pashut just asking you this question: Why you care so much about lichess not posting about 'all issues' (which is clearly a impossible thing to ask for)? Well I would say its because you don't like the issues they are posting for and don't want to say that, so you keep playing the 'what about this'-card...
So yeah there are other issues in this world, well your sure not the first one to notice, but why would that prevent anyone from standing up for a issue?
So maybe stop trolling with senseless arguments.

It's finally time to end racism and #BlackLivesMatter is the movement to support.
@grondilu Not a single person here so far has disagreed with the fact that it's okay to be white. thibault said that he would be getting rid of racist users, but I don't know what makes you think that racism applies to one specific race. And no, this is not "cancer," this is an issue that must be addressed, because people are sick and tired of racism, and want their voices to be heard. If you don't like this discussion, stay out of it.

Many people are down voting comments made in favor of "black lives matter". I wonder what's up with people these days...😕
See, more dislikes that likes in this post already...
I support open source software generally out of libertarian principle; this was precisely why I choose to play on Lichess and not on competing chess platforms. Frankly, I am disappointed that Lichess has decided to compromise on free speech today. Yes, racism is abhorrent, but censorship is not the answer.
@Pashut
I think your question is redundant... Your basically saying why don't we support every single thing (injustice) there is and the truth is we just cant right? Its impossible to even try and keep up. Here its not about criteria its about a huge issue that has been raging for centuries and I do think its important for all of us to get involved. That being said I do like your points on the fact that this is obviously not the only issue and also definitely not the biggest issue. This is why I do have some reservations when it comes to the phrase "Black lives matter". Shouldn't it just be "All lives matter". I feel like it becomes so easy to single out one thing but not to address the overall issue. I feel like the issue is never just one thing, however the issue always involves some sort of social and economical problem but we never get to actually address those, because we are so busy making it about race/sexual orientation etc etc. Surely what everyone wants (or says they want) is equality... but by singling out one race, one sex, one anything. You are making it about that one thing and not the equality issue that is the real problem. Maybe that is just me...
