Thank you @thibault and everyone who made the decision to take a stand for having the bravery to do so. One of the main reasons Lichess is my favorite platform is because of its ideology of not running ads and keeping everything open source, and this post further affirms my belief that Lichess is the most morally correct platform.

Now, there are appalling human rights violations is North Korea, Syria, Russia, Saudi Arabia, China, and so many other spots around the globe. Some of these violations are about race, others about religion, political opinion, sexual orientation etc. Yet I have not seen any Lichess announcements regarding any of those issues. In fact, the only 2 announcements I've seen were about climate change and BLM.

So, perhaps my initial post on this topic should have been phrased as a question:

Lichess, how do you choose what human rights issues/causes to promote?
What are the criteria and what is the decision process for that choice?

(I tried to gauge those criteria from the cartoon you posted, but could not).

1. No, BLM doesn't. The police does.
2. So what? He still was murdered by the police.
3. Antifa isn't even an organization. And Trump only wants to make Antifa a terror group (which he can't do) because it would enable him to go after the left in general.
4. Slavery isn't the only form of racism
