Beta release of Listudy

@GoodChessMind just to clarify how far in the start of each different line do you want to go? In this study: lichess.org/study/DkGsMbbB the Bd3 line, from where do you want to start the learning process? From Nf3, e4 or somewhere different like a fixed 2 moves before the new line?
@ArneVogel

I want to start in the very beginning every single time for every single line. So from the very first move of e4. That way i can always see when the new line deviated from the previous line i studied. That's what Chess position trainer and Chess Opening Wizard do and I think that's a good idea. Hope you can add that. But you can also keep what you have as well since this is testing of positions randomly and is probably more useful once you have learned your repertoire sequentially for every single line from move one.

Also, if doing the sequential training i think you would have to say you learned that specific line if you got all the moves correct 2 times in a row (after the line was tested on you without the green arrows). Or maybe you can have the option to choose how many times in a row you got the line correct before you move on to the next line.

Also, I think your website tests you for all the different lines first by showing you the answers first (using the green arrows) and then training you on all the different lines afterwards. I'm not sure if it's better to show one line with green arrows and then test you on that line at least twice (or more time if you get it wrong until you get the sequence of moves correct 2 times in a row) and then another line from the very beginning...so one line at a time. That way you are not overwhelmed practicing a bunch of different lines first and then having to recall all of them afterwards.

Finally, what do you plan to do with the arrow (the green one for the correct move) if there are multiple correct candidate that you put in your repertoire. Will you color code the green arrow as the mainline move, blue arrow for secondary move, and another colored arrow for tertiary moves, etc...? For example, e4,e5,Nf3,f5, Nxe5(mainline move) or exf5 (secondary move) or (d3 tertiary move).

@GoodChessMind I think I will differentiate lines by the line width and lines from "commenting shapes" with a different color.

I like the idea of sequential training of lines where you don't have to memorize all the lines all at once. I will try to implement it next week.
@ArneVogel but I would be interested to know what are the differences with Chessable? On Chessable you can import your own pgns, get books and use the spaced repetition. So that's why I'm interested to know the main differencies.
@ChessPatzerFrance the main difference is that listudy is free and open source software. On listudy you can also import your own pgns and use spaced repetition to train them.
@ArneVogel You can import your PGNs on Chessable for free too, only the books are not free (which is normal). That's why I don't see so much difference. But the open source software is a good point, well done.
@GoodChessMind I implemented the lines training mode, if you want to check it out. I think it has a great feel to it, thanks for the suggestion!
hi, not sure what I am doing wrong here.

I have a text file (.pgn) as follows:

When I hit submit, it says "Please only upload pgn files"

Any advice would be great, thanks!

@ArneVogel

Currently, the training mode doesn't work for some reason. I tried my study and somebody else's study and it doesn't seem to move starting from move 1. Do i need to re-upload a new study for this to work? Also, I tried to upload a new pgn file and it give me error message with pgn like the one ubique 29 described
