There's an example of a typical russian. No respect for anyone, no dignity. Just insults of the neighboring people. Attacking and terrorizing them. And what then? Then crying about russophobia! Newsflash: you really are cancer of the world that should be cut out, permanently.
Um sorry but not all Russians are like this.

This imaginary story of "not all russians" is getting quite old after 3.5 years of full-blown terrorism. If there exists this other type of russians they should have started to speak up already a long time ago. However nothing but silence has been heard. The conclusion is clear.

There seems to be a small detail you have missed. The war is not the people of Russia against the whole of Ukraine, it is putin versus Ukraine

No I disagree, and it seems that you have missed something very obvious. There are hundreds of thousands of volunteered russian terrorists fighting in Ukraine right now, terrorizing Ukrainians, torturing them, kidnapping Ukrainian children to brainwash them into their sick russian ideology, trying to annihilate Ukrainian culture, language and traditions. It's simply not just putin. If you think it's just the so called president of russia, you are very naive. This man with his sick genocidal ambitions is backed by a majority of russians. If the opposite was true, then there would be no war.

What I'm witnessing is a successful result of russian propaganda. It's very useful to the criminal leadership of russia to portray russian people as victims. And actually russians really like to play victims themselves (cf. russophobia) "Oh, I'm not interested in politics. Oh, I'm truly for peace and only for peace! Oh, we have done nothing wrong, just following the orders!" The result is that no-one cares to put any pressure on them, thinking naively that it's just putin, that russians do not share his ideology, and consequently it's a little bit easier to let the mass murder of Ukrainians continue. No, it's not just putin. It's a genocidal war of russian people against Ukrainians. Unfortunately it is. I'd really like to witness a completely different kind of reality. But that kind of reality does not exist. And I do not want to lie to myself. Hopefully you do not want either.

Listen to me. Please. I get why you feel that way, and I totally understand how angry and heartbroken you are about what’s happening in Ukraine. What Russia is doing is horrible, and the war is beyond unfair. But I don’t think it’s right to say that all Russians support it or to call them all terrorists.

A lot of people in Russia don’t even know the full truth about what’s going on because their government controls the media and punishes people who speak out. There are Russians who protest, who go to jail, or who leave their country because they hate what their government is doing. They just don’t make the news as much as the ones who support the war.

It’s definitely not about excusing anyone’s actions — the crimes happening are terrible — but I think blaming every single Russian makes it harder to tell who’s actually responsible. It’s the people in power and the system they built that are pushing this war, and that’s what needs to stop

I'm listening and I'm glad to have a good and sincere conversation about the topic. Thank you for that, really. But to be honest I have heard these same arguments already hundreds of times during the past few years in different contexts, even from people of high status, such as the German chancellor Scholz who in Spring 2022 called it "putin's war". But now after 3.5 years of the full-scale war (to remind: the war which in reality started already in 2014 with the illegal annexation of Crimea and the ensuing war in the Eastern Ukraine where russia undeniably was the sole aggressor already) we really have to move on and see the truth and the reality. The reality is that there exists almost no russian voice that speaks about just and immediate peace, at least not one who has any meaningful support from the russians themselves. We have to acknowledge this.

I respect every russian person who has let their anti-war voice and/or support to Ukraine be heard. Of course, there are such in russia but not enough. And of course, these views are dangerous russia today, because of the oppression set up by the criminal gang in kremlin. But I will argue that even without this oppression, pro-Ukraine voices would be rare in russia. And that's because of russians' built-in imperialistic mindset, an idea that they are superior to the people around them.

What is the cure of russia, is a complete annihilation of this imperialistic mindset. And this is the only cure. Nothing else will suffice. To make this happen, they absolutely have to lose their brutal and illegal war of conquest. And I'd like to challenge you to listen to the people who know about this topic, the Baltics, who had to endure the horrible soviet occupation for decades, where for example, according to russians, their own native languages were languages of animals, and russia was the only human language. Listen to what they have to say about russians. They know. We Finns know also, maybe we had forgotten a little bit but we truly learned to remember, at the latest in 2022 we learned this. Ukrainians know of course. Poles know. The people around russians know who russians are. Listen to them, please. Do not assume.

And here I talked only russians in russia. What about russian emigrants abroad, millions of them. A lot of them enjoy freedom of speech in Western countries (which russia has deemed unfriendly). These emigrants could well voice their opinion, freely and without fear of consequences. But as I said, there is nothing but silence. Soon to be 4 years of the full-blown war, have you heard about any meaningful organization or collective "Russians against war" or "Russians for Ukraine"? No, me neither. I think there is no such thing. And at least to me, that is very revealing.

Guys, it's Ukraine with "K"

Guys, it's Ukraine with "K"

You see, Ukraine is Ucrania in Spanish so the author chose the (wrong) spelling (Ucraine). It's not a huge deal. A bigger deal is that these russians try to take advantage of this and come here spamming with their typical imperialistic insults. That is something that should not be tolerated.
