Rematch Button please just remove it.

Personally if I get white the first game I accept rematchs with the Black pieces and some do the same for me. Not very often though if they win with white.

well, i only send or accept rematches if i was playing with my friends

@Journey_to_NM I am curious. Why just friends do you offer rematchs? Do you tend to offer rematchs more if you win or lose the first game? I often notice rematchs are offered more often when I beat an opponent rather than losing to one.

Salty or not, the reality is the game offers the ability for a person to be salty because of the fact you can't rematch a person. Other games have addressed this issue & offer game modes where you don't get "salty" after losing.

We have a play now button, is it so hard to make it so you can't abort a match? Especially if aborting is based on a persons username.

Let me get this straight, you do want to play chess, just not with X persons username.

That's just ridiculous something is wrong about that especially when you give options, people are taking these options & using them to troll, and that's the issue. Win Lose or Salty, allowing a player to troll is the problem.

This is not an issue for other modern games such as Hearthstone where aborting = victory for your opponent & rematch isn't a thing. But I also think an even better choice would be to have a best of 3, or a best of 5 gamemode & or just make all players anonymous.

Anyways these are just my thoughts on it, overall I think a best of 3 or a best of 5 gamemode "option" we have many game "options" but this version of the game would be better. After at least a best of 5 situation I always feel I had some games with a person, win or lose it just feels incomplete to play only 1 game. That's all.

I like that idea #27, If they leave before the match it would be considered a forfeit perhaps.

It's not bad sportsmanship to decline rematches. Maybe the match wasn't fun for them. Maybe they don't have time. Plenty of people just need a quick chess fix for the day. They don't owe you multiple games.

Let's put an example, I missclicked and accidentaly put search match, and i need to go, I will lose rating that is made to calculate your strength at lichess because I missclicked. Rating isn't the same like in a game, rating is an aproximation to your level, i know someone can be 2500 lichess and he is 2000 for example for some problems, but for a missclick just unbalance the server system is just unfair. Like someone is 3000 rating here cause he got lucky and he got matched to people who missclicked.

Also if I don't want to play with someone, why I should be obligated to play with he or she. Aren't people free enough to play with he wants?

Also, all people anonymous isn't that good, the server isn't the same. People that "rock" at lichess won't get known and titled people wouldn't be inserted to lichess. Anonymous just would take a lot of the site grace. There wouldn't be LM titles.
