Incorrect Draw

https://handbook.fide.com/chapter/OnlineChessRegulations
See Article 5.3 : Completing the Game. "... offer cannot be withdrawn and remains valid until ... the game is concluded in some other way."

This should conclude the incorrect draw subject.

Does somebody know if the behavior by Lichess is intentional?

So Lichess giving the draw must have a rationale to do so. The player must click the draw button on his own, but here at the end of the game, Lichess pushes the draw button for the player. That is not neutral. I can't see a rationale for doing so. As long I don't learn a rationale, I also say the system behaves unfairly.

The rationale can be found in Issue #7006

https://github.com/lichess-org/lila/issues/7006 :

Occasionally in bullet, my opponent will disconnect, and I'd rather the game end in a draw than a resign by timeout. One way of accomplishing this is by adding +15 to their time until the game prompts the 'your opponent has left' option, but I think it would make perfect sense for the server to just accept the offered draw on its own when they run out of time.

This was accepted and implemented July 25, 2020.

What's absurd is agreeing to play a game without increment < 1 second/move and then complaining about the result. We shouldn't allow players playing under such conditions to determine the rules for other players.

If nothing else, I like the aesthetics of issue numbers 7006 and 11006. Exactly 4000 different.

I checked and found that the developers implemented that as a feature request in regard to bullet games.

github.com/lichess-org/lila/issues/7006

It was made valid for all time controls.
This is ridiculous. Why should the server auto draw if the offer isn't accepted and someone runs out of time? Even in bullet, I don't see how it is needed.
