Lots of players resign very quickly, when they are losing 1 piece, but it is still interesting to play off the game, so it would be great to have a button, pressing which you can finish the game against the AI.

More generally it'd be cool to be able to start a game from a given position, be it with the AI or a friend.

Nowadays I tend to paste the FEN code off of the analysis page, but friendly games or AI and such with setups is a version of that perhaps complicated for the convenience of things which I guess would be pretty cool.

Complicated in the sense that you have to expand the code outwards a little bit to have supported it.
You already have a very basic, inflexible support for it.
People can copy/paste the FEN code from the analysis page.
Or people can play to the positions themselves.
But for people to conveniently set up custom friend games you would have to complicate the code. Worth it or not, mostly a matter of perspective, though I'd think it's cool.
Versatile is the characteristic of Lichess. You will read several of these phrases. Confidence who plays here.
