That's ok thanks for the advice. I went back into chess.com this evening and everything is working fine so I can play on there and voice commentary as well.
So, chanced my arm in Lichess and to my happy surprise everything is working absolutely fine. So, i don't know if it was just a clitch or Lichess have changed something either its fine.
No delays either
I'll keep monitoring and thanks for all the help an assistance lest hope it stays stable for everyone

@Countrylife Thats fantastic, hope it keeps that way. Playing OTB feels so much better than the screen, although we get the handicap of the time since we have to move all the pieces - so be prepared to take over with your mouse if you get in time trouble!
Plenty of classic teams on here that play long chess games, like 90+30, 60+30 etc, so you will find friends here. There is a 60+30 tournament tomorrow, if you are interested here: https://lichess.org/tournament/pD5lW0Ta
Its a team event but you can join with whatever team you like, for instance with this team: https://lichess.org/team/90m30s
Its a good team to join as the leader sends plenty of longer game tournaments to your inbox, so that you can join if you want to. They are hosting an "Lichess Olympiad" just after New Year, so you may play for England if you want to
EDIT: Link to the 60+30 Olympiad is here: https://lichess.org/team/classical-chess-olympiad
Update us if you have trouble and think we can help. Have fun! :-)
