@mkubecek OMG I love you! Board found on the ttyACM0 as expected! Thanks! :D
Lichess recognizes the board. Now, lets try and play a little to see how this fairs. Will update later toknight and report back. Maybe if someone else has problems they might want to go the same route :)

Two (wierd) games in, and no Websocket disconnect. I also made a wrong move on the board, reloaded plug in and the board worked again. I could not do that before
I am so thankful for this, you guys have no idea how much this will make me want to play more. Thank you thank you THANK YOU!

Another rant. And I am not blaming my board for my poor endgame skills, I lost the game because I am stupid. That is fair. But at move 40. Qa4
https://lichess.org/zyyPwy3fb35t
the board suddenly refused to accept the position as correct. I double - triple - quadruppel checked and it was indeed the effing position. This got me into this serious issue where I had to deal with the DGT board and the moves on the laptop, reloading the plug-in and so on, and I was low on time. I absolutely freaked out, and my stress was through the roof because of the board not working .
Again, I lost the game fair because I dont know how to play chess. But the board did not help me today either. It straight up when mutiny on me at the worst time possible.
Do any of you stuggle with this from time to time? How often? Do you just write it off as one of those "board didnt work"-games and move on?
EDIT: I am in an Classical Arena now and tried for a second game. On move 6 the Plugin agian refused the postion as true and would just go into a loop. Re-loading the page does nothing.
The position was 100% correct, but it would not stop. Something is seriously wrong with this. It was working PERFECT for 10 hours of play yesterday, absolutely perfect. Now it is completely gone, nothing is working. I cannot trust this board and it put a serious dampener on my ability to play when I cannot the it through a complete game without it acting up. Chess is hard enough, I shouldn't have to deal with faulty HW/SW on top of it.
Please, if the is any suggestions - let me know. I am at a complete loss here, don't know what to do
If it helps, I am getting new error produced by the plugin amongst the normal "fix your position" messages and that is:
"updateChessBoard - Error: TypeError: q.get(...) is undefined"
I don't know if that is relevant, but it is new atleast. I have no clue
EDIT 2: In LiveChess my piece set is somehow ghosting pawn to h3 and add a pawn to g3. This happend in both games for some reason. I have another set, it doesn't do the same when testing it in LiveChess. Maybe it is the pieces that is bonkers. So strange that this happens. Will try to play with the other set and see how it goes. It is the USB-C Smartboard, so it shouldn't be a sensitivity problem .. or could it?

A friend of mine had a problem with a couple of white pawns that after the upgrade of his board to USB-C (from USB-B) were detected as black pawns.
My suggestion: download and install on an android phone the app "white pawn", familiarize with it (expected time: 10 minutes), check your board for correct chessmen detection with both sets thorougly.
As an alternative, connect your board to a PC and install DGT drivers.
You have to make sure that your board hardware is 100% working as it should do.
At least you'll get some answers from the very basic hardware point of view, avoiding chess servers plugin

@Bracco Totally missed your post, this forum should have a way to sub to the threads
But yes, update! I move my board to another table, as I have a power outlet underneath the old table for cable management. The DGT site states that the board is easily susceptible to electromagnetic fields, so I wanted to eliminate that as a possibility first. So far, I could not reproduce the problem.
I tried White Pawn! It is awesome! I do wish I could enter tournaments with it and a alert for when low on time. But the app is super snappy, the moves are ao much faster. Wish the plug in would be that fast.
Do you mostly use the app?

@MancombSteepwood Glad you're playing without issues!!
I've used White Pawn so far for testing purposes only. Never played any game with it.
However from your last statement I realized that I am not the only one that find DGT LiveChess plug-in a bit too slow. A year ago I played a long time control game that ended in a reciprocal zeitnot. I had to continue the game on the screen because the plug-in became unresponsive in acceptable time.
The livechess development seems stopped. I've read somewhere in the DIGITAL GAME TECHNOLOGY website that a new version of livechess is available but I'm afraid it won't fit with lichess because is namely a cloud version.
That's a pity.
In conclusion, livechess and the lichess page for DGT users could be a fantastic option if the slowness of the plug-in can be resolved in some way

@Bracco I hope we don’t risk losing the DGT support all together, no? If there is a new version coming. Is there any way we can ask a dev on this site?

@MancombSteepwood I've been in touch with a couple of DGT representatives because I ordered and installed an upgrade kit for my chessboard. They have been very kind and collaborative. I can write them describing the problem with the slowness of the combo "DGT LiveChess" and lichess web page.
Yesterday I played a whole game on lichess thru the Whitepawn app connected with my newly upgraded to USB-C DGT chessboard. I have been literally astonished by the cleanness and the speed of the setup.
There are a few details that can be improved in WhitePawn (more flexibility is needed for time controls - only a few are available; the move announcement is too long, shot notation is missing; there's no chance to pick an available game offer...) but this app is really promising

@Bracco Thats great! Name of the Dev of the White Pawn app is Khadim Fall. He is on Instagram I think, he has made a White Pawn profile there, and I think he likes to get some feedback
There is one more app that is supposed to be «the best». And that is AcidApe. But you need to purchase the GM version to unlock DGT support, it is €25 I think. I sent them an email a few weeks ago with these questions;
(Paste from my email)
- Does the app support Voice, as in spoken annotations?
Yes, it does. It uses the standard Android speech synthesis for moves.
- Can one enter Tournaments on Lichess? Like for instance an Arena
Event? If not, is it in the planning to include in the future?
No, that feature is neither supported not planned.
- Does the build-in clock give sounds on low time?
Yes, it does. We are somehow emulating the DGT3000, with beeps at 10
seconds, then 5, 4, 3, 2, then a continuous beep during the last
second.
- Does the app support landscape mode on a phone?
No, it doesn't (yet).
- Is the app stable for DGT play? This one is probably hard to
answer, but the other apps (and online plugin) is a bit of hit and
miss. I wonder if you had good feedback in this regard
Acid Ape Chess is the most reliable app for DGT play (USB and
Bluetooth), as you can see in our user feedback. With other apps, you
get what you pay for.
Also note that we were the first ones, back in 2016, to actually
support a DGT board on a mobile device.

I have not tried it myself tho
