Can't create game with specific side any more

I wondered why BeDecentForAChange and Gwendolino764 have same opening repertoire, they both play the sicilian with ...e6 and the italian. jseijp also plays sicilian with ...e6 and italian, but at least his rating range is different. Geek's note: The chance a player has the italian and sicilian with ...e6 as opening repertoire is approximately 0.1%, so one in thousand players have this combination.

Entry #403 of Gwendolino764 was deleted, so you canot see he wrote "...fixed it!", a phrase bedecentforachange used often.

I did not call everyone cheater. And aidraken is a closed account, too, now. Also recently closed, like BeDecentForAChange and Gwendolino764, that's entirely their decision to do, they have every right to do so.

See who did thumbs up to beDecentForAChange and you find accounts that are closed. There is a correlation.

Most games played in lichess are bullet games, I guess?
Maybe, at least temporarily, white/black option could be brought back for games with slower time controlls than bullet? Then you can have all colour seekers in the lobby without overloading the lobby.

Temporarily, until a better fix for the problem is created It remains to be seen how overloaded the lobby would get if colour seekers are not automatically paired with quickpairing seeks.

Other chess sites offer the colour option, and lichess will hopefully work on a better solution that we have now in place: colour option completely disabled for casual/rated games.

quite a few supporters of this downgrade have closed accounts now, BeDecentForAChange the most prominent of them.

See who gave thumbs up or a heart in @DaBoss1999 #805 (comment 37 hours ago) and you find closed accounts. Just jseijp not closed, but he stopped writing.

I dont dare to say anyone has more than one account, and these accounts were closed for reasons we do not know. But.... you know .... generally speaking (I dont mean any account in the thread) - it can happen that some people create several accounts, to influence the mood. Stigmatize color seekers as unfair or even abusers, and in politics this is certainly the case, too. When you see youtube comments or comments in the newspaper, you should be aware of some of the commentators are not genuine.

To make matters worse (I dont think it happens in lichess), there is even the option to pay for such influencers to write in various forums. Keep this in mind whereever you read comments anywhere.

So, do not be disheartened. you were no "abuser".
Keep asking for the white/black colour seek feature being reinstated.
Prefering to play one colour is ok, and the rating was never the problem (as otherwise you could still choose a colour in casual games).

And now, here a real comment (see link below). Bring back the white/black option!

(see also page 1 of this thread - I guess, meanwhile some bad influences really made a good job at turning the mood. If you ask me, it is unacceptable that some players need to work of a "Colour debt" and get mostly black for the next couple of months.)
