Can't create game with specific side any more

I think white/black feature is coming back.
One funny solution that I have not mentioned so far could be: dont change the white/black feature, but get rid of the quickpairings.

One other funny solution: we re-instate the color-picking. But, you can only choose white if your last game was black, and vice versa.

They are the cause of the problem. No quickpairings --> no "abuse" possible. (Though I refuse to describe a white/black player an abuser when he used a function given.)

So color picking get their own lobby, and it doesn't count toward their normal chess stats?

I see what you did there...

Before this thread loses attention, here is a reminder:

For me, the change obviously means a complete change of life. I hardly play chess anymore. Maybe that's a good thing.

You did fine with white though! It'll probably even make you better at playing black, as you'll understand the positions better playing both sides

no need for an own lobby. That wasnt the case previously, too. Just the lobby, no quickpairings anymore.
It is not my favourite solution, as that would be a downgrade. Though, a solution it is.
If the lobby list gets too long, maybe a diagram, with y-axis is rating, x-axis is time.

It was intentional, Thibault mentioned that it is because people abused this to exclusively play white

Oh, interesting, where did he mention it?

On the commit messages, and the pull request that pushed it live (Github)

Like always, my question that I ask: when will you post the link to the pull request where you implement this feature?

Yer, would've been helpful if for no other reason than to have clarity on it not being a bug haha
